When you get done, Deli, you can come and bathe stinky Ben the Dog. I haven't been able to get down on the bathroom floor to give him his bath. My back and leg has been really bothering me lately.

I hope everyone is well and enjoying a good evening or morning dependent on location. I've been absolutely cranked with a Carb Day gathering of old fraternity brothers & Little Sisters as well as a high school reunion with about 50 in attendance on Saturday past. Sunday and Monday involved recuperation from too much Capt 'n' Diet Coke mixed with a healthy quantity of Jell-O shooters. The wife and I made up 100 2oz. shooters in small lidded cups that were the hit of the gathering of my HS party.
We did four gourmet concoctions:
Watermelon Jolly Rancher - Watermelon Jell-O, Watermelon flavored Vodka & Sour Apple Pucker liqueur
Orange Dreamsicle - Orange Jell-O, Triple Sec & Whipped Cream flavored Vodka
Devilish Double Cherry - Black Cherry Jell-O, Cherry flavored Vodka & Sour Cherry Pucker
Pina Colada - Pineapple Jell-O, Capt. Morgan's Parrot Bay Pineapple & Coconut Rums - This one was had (2) 90 proof liquors so I warned everyone to be careful! It turned out to be the favorite don't cha know.
These recipes are from a friend/mixologist who has perfected the taste/experience through these recipes. I have had other Jell-o shots that just tasted like Jell-O. These are more like pocket cocktails and man did the girls really love these.
Well I'm still spending a large portion of my free time working out and finally broke through a recent plateau to hit 30lbs down. I hope by the time we all meet up I'll be into the 190s.
Oh and Mrs. Brew is asking when they might be posting a code for those rooms? I told her to go ahead and book one because we wanted one of the uptick rooms from their website in any event. I hope Blu gets the big one so we can do the pre-party at her place We're going to come in early on Thursday but we're staying until Monday. We will be getting in at least one cirque du soleil show or I'll never hear the end of it..Yes, I know it's a preposition Brew

Oh and I did read about Wharf's awesome accomplishment. I am so proud of you and the control that it takes to keep that demon at bay.
I come from a family in which the gene seems to be dormant. Thankfully I can enjoy without the monster making it difficult to stop after I've had enough. I do respect that some folks can't do the same and would never purposely make light or disrespect the huge accomplishment that is 20 years of sobriety. I have had more than one acquaintance who keeps a stash of O'Doul's here so please don't take my previous post to be anything other than a window into my life. We all have our demons and mine has been food for the better part of my adult life. I too am kickin' this Demon's patootie and hopefully I too will be able to tell my buds after 20 years of success. Wharf, you are a good man who deserves major kudos. I look forward to meeting and spending time with you all out in Vegas. Brew

No worries Brew !!! I have no problem with normmies, many people can drink and not have any problems, I'm not one of them. I look at it as if I were diabetic, I wouldn't ask people not to eat or talk about sugar around me LOL. Mrs Wharf drinks and almost everyone I hang with.

Doggie girl #2 grooming today. Grooming yesterday was a pleasure at a cool 60... today will be more challenging at 80 degrees Will probably put on the AC when it's time to clip

You can't imagine how much of a help is was to me and our finances. Just a bad month around here.
Sorry I haven't been around much. We are putting Gandalf down for the big nap tomorrow and I haven't felt particularly social. Just fed him some scrambled eggs with extra cheese, the vet said he can have whatever he wants at this point. I think I'll get him some french fries later, he loves those, too.
I'll be back when I'm feeling a little better. The last several months have been full of too many hard blows without much good to balance it out, and I'm not feeling very hopeful in general. Bad moods tend to be contagious, so I'm better off whining to myself than bringing others down.
