Asmodus Minikin 3 battery door issue

I just got a brand new Asmodus Minikin 3 mod. When I put the batteries and close the door ( push down and slide firmly ) the door slides back out a bit by itself and the slightest movement or shake causes the door to open and the batteries to fly out. I dont see any obvious problem with the door, nothing is broken, the door actually looks sturdy.

Does anyone else experienced this and possibly have a solution ?

I have one and the battery door is one of the sturdier ones I own. I don't have a fix for you but if it came that way I would warranty it (if it's under the warranty period.) It has never once opened even when I dropped it.

I have actually contacted Asmodus and they are aware of this issue and already sending a replacement - great customer and warranty service btw.
I was wondering if it was actually a defect because the door looked fine, it just opened very easily.
