John Beam on FB. He makes beautiful tips and has lots of blanks and will order blanks to get exactly what you want. I can't remember what the blank is called that the purple, pink, and gold tips are made from but could easily find out. He is a great guy to do business with.
I went looking for him and he is about 8-10 miles from me!

It seems like it would be easy to make one's own spool tamer.

All you’d need is some 1/4” elastic, a needle and thread. You don’t really need any more adjustability than the stretch, and you don’t need a guide hole. Still, for $2-3 bucks I saved myself an hour of sewing elastic, which I have done and found I hated it.

I have to figure out the spool tamer things. I put on the spool and guide the wire thu but when I true to pull wire out it doesn’t move. I mean a 5th grader probably thought it up yet I cannot get it to work.

Suggestions?
You’re not the only one lol! I think you have to loosen the elastic so you can easily pull the wire.

Loosen the elastic so the ends are short, put the tamer on your spool with the wire out through the hole and pull the elastic ends snug but not tight. As you need wire the tamer will rotate around the spool letting out as much as you pull off.

I think the issue might be cuz I have the UD one & not the Beadalon one. My Michaels didn’t have it.

The spool has a lot to do with it as well, I find they work great on Lightning Vapes spools but not so well on AVS as the spool is narrower.

I sew. Currently have my machine set up. I have elastic of all sizes (craft hoarder here) and I can make these for anyone that wants them. Will cost aprox $3.50 in shipping charges. Feel free to contact me if you want some. I can make you 5,6,7 or more. I buy jewelers wire and it comes on a spool and has a handy clamp like thing on it. When a spool is done I use these for my coil wire.
