For a new user going into Sub Ohm, I would HIGHLY recommend the Aspire SubOHM.

The battery is permanent, but you can charge it off of a USB 510 charger (use a wall adapter, not off your computer). It has safety features, short circuit, over/under charge protection, vented (just in case). $45 MSRP

Where as the Aspire MOD battery holder has the same safety features, but the battery is NOT included. You have to get an 18650 battery (or two), and get an external charger that handles 18650 batteries. $40 MSRP for the CF MOD, + ~$10-$15 per battery, + a charger.

So IMHO the best bang for your buck is the Aspire SubOHM battery. I didn't realize that the CF MOD battery didn't come with a battery, and you can't charge via USB 510 charger. Had I realized, I would have gotten the SubOHM ;(
