The problem I see is that most devices have an amp limit on the switch, many of that era were less than 5. Given that limitation you would be able to only put out less than 15watts, not nearly enough to drive an Atlantis.

Aaahhh, yes, the amp limit.... didn't take that into account...

If you say so raitizz. I fire mine at 20~25 watts. Have used it all day several times.

*EDIT*
After looking, no one knows the amp limit on the eVic-S. Guesses run everywhere from 6 to 7.5 to 7.8 to 10. I have run mine all the way up to 7.72amp draw without issue.

Rezyuz, did you happen to look at your temp gauge? It would have shut down like that on overheating.

Will it also go to 30? And when you do does it make any difference in the vape? The reason I am asking is a truly smart device like a Provari will just error out if you exceed the power limitation of the board whereas a semi-smart device, like a MVP will let you set it anywhere you want but only output its maximum power, which is what I suspect is happening here.

It will go to 29.8w (3.86v). BTW, the amp limit is not 6 amp. The voltage limit is 6v.

I don't like it at that wattage. At 20w it is cool, 25w it is getting warm. At 29.8w it is too hot for me personally. I can tel the difference between it at each of those power settings and between them.

It will only let you set it to it's minimum or max power, won't let you go higher or lower. If you are calling the eVic Supreme a semi-smart device compared to a Provari as a smart device, you might want to go read up on it a little more. The eVic-S will actually learn how you vape (wattage, duration of draw, etc) and dynamically show remaining usage based on the settings you have dialed in. It can be programed to ramp up and down power through a draw.

Right now my guess would be the over temp protection kicked on, since that is the only thing that should have forced an immediate shutdown.

No need to get defensive. I looked for info to answer the OP's question and, like you, could find nothing on the amp limit for the device. Based on my personal knowledge of a slew of regulated devices I guessed 5 amps max, which I stated and was reasonable based on past eVics. If that had been the case and it fired regardless of the setting then yes, I would say it would be at the very most it would be only a semi-smart device.

I run an Atlantis on my EVic Supreme (until my rDNA40 arrives) and found it to be very twitchy in variable wattage mode due to it trying to run at the upper limits of it's capabilities. The problem is with resistance drift in it's coil detection. One minute it thinks that the coil is .8 ohm and sets the voltage up to 4.5v but if the resistance drops over time, the device won't re-poll the coil and it'll go over 30w and shut down rather than dial back the voltage. Getting below 60% battery power for some reason exacerbates the problem.

For the Atlantis on the EVic Supreme I found that switching to Variable Voltage mode and setting it to 4.2 volts gives the most consistent and reliable "max power" vape out of the device.

Well, you already got the info. Me, I only used an eVic Supreme for a few days with clearomizer tanks and sent it back due to lack of build quality. Got another device, that satisfies my needs and whimsies in all ways to this point. I googled the amp limit and read about the 6 Amps. Did not test anything, so I'm sorry. I thought, this device would react to limit over ceding.
Couldn' t find any reliable source with the Amp limit.
