Right now I'm using a stingray mod with a orchid v4.
i love it but want to get away from rebuildables.
my friend recommended the Atlantis but he is using a box mod and keeps it at 35watts.
will a stingray work for the Atlantis? Iv heard the Atlantis works best with 30-35 watts or it floods.
not sure how many watts the stingray throws out. Using a 18650 battery.
Any help or recommendations would be awesome. I'm somewhat of noob.
Thanks!

Short answer... yes, the Atlantis will work on the Stingray.
Check Ohm's Law... at a full charge, with a 0.5 ohm coil, the Stingray will be pushing ~35.28 Watts... this will drop as you continue to use.
If you change batteries at around 3.5V, then you'll be pushing 24.5 Watts...
That is the advantage of a regulated mod over a mechanical mod... with mechanicals, you lose power as you vape... regulated.. well, it regulates your power...

With a mech, you are limited to what the battery provides. The power delivered to the coil depends on the voltage of the battery and resistance of the atomizer you are using.

The Atlantis comes with 0.5ohm heads and a freshly charged battery puts out 4.2v. Using a simple ohms law calculator gives the following.

4.2v, 0.5ohms puts you at almost exactly 35 watts of power.

This will drop to around 27 watts when your battery reaches 3.7v

What battery are you using (make, model etc?)

Ok that helps.
Another question. What would you recommend mod wise that isn't a box(don't like the feel in my pocket) that regulates?

For a regulated tube mod, I"d suggest the eVic Supreme as it is a 30W mod, or you could get the Aspire CF SubOhm that was designed to work with the Atlantis... it isn't really regulated, but it does have protection circuits that prevent over discharge of the battery.

I also want to find a mod that will work.
I bought a 4nine and the center pin on Atlantis isn't long enough.
It sits flush on the inside of the mech.

The 4nine should work. You just need to adjust the center pin of the mod... remove the Atlantis and remove the top cap of the 4nine... push the pin up in the top cap and then screw the Atlantis back on it. Then re-install the topcap/atlantis combo back onto the tube.

I am wanting to get the Atlantis but my old Sieglei wont work for it so I need some advice on a new mod. I was looking at the God mod, the Cloupor T or the Vamo 80 watt any suggestions? I love the tube mod style and I haven't been a fan of box mods so far. But, its time to adapt so any help would be appreciated.

Any of those would work with the Atlantis. I suspect that no matter what mod you get, you'll probably stay in the 35-50W range with the Atlantis anyway... even 30W should be a decent vape.
