    First impressions:
The specimen in my possession is the one with Garnet Red coloring, an elegant and discreet color as are the other six available. The Favostix has a very thin body, does not weigh too much and is quite slender, especially with the 3ml cartridge it is quite high.

Favostix is made of oxidized aluminum alloy, uses new cartridges / coils (disposable) which according to Aspire promise a superior flavor and a consistent throat hit, without the need to increase too much nicotine concentrate in liquids . Both coils are managed by the AS chipset which interfaces to a 0.42 "OLED screen.

The presence of the Fire button on the Favostix allows you to use the device in classic or automatic mode, the button has a slightly protruding octagonal shape and offers good feedback. The display shows all the indications clearly and legibly, the darkened screen allows a discreet reading even in direct sunlight.

The solid color of the three elements cartridge / button / screen matches well with the single color of the device, the word "Aspire" is located under the screen while on the opposite side appears the word "Favostix" arranged vertically.

Favostix has two small opposing air-flows that immediately make you think of a device designed to be used in MTL mode.
Will Favostix therefore be an entry level kit suitable for those who want to quit smoking?

The pod compartment has two gold / plated contact pins on the bottom. Also on the bottom of the compartment there is also a higher silver colored pin with the dual function of keeping the cartridge in guide and acting as a "sensor" for the automatic Puff.

The base on which the Favostix rests is made of black plastic and houses the Type-C charging socket.

The 3ml PCTG cartridge (2ml TPD) from any angle you look at it always offers excellent transparency, the spout gives a good feeling for the lips, the steam exit hole is oval.

The refill is done from the bottom through two holes (you can choose). The filling holes are covered with a hard plastic tab that is comfortable enough to lift and close.
The cartridge uses a simple interlocking system with the device, in fact there are no magnets.

    * Inside the package there are two types of disposable cartridges, one has a 0.6Ω Mesh-Coil (15-18W) and the other a 1.0Ω Mesh-Coil (12-15W) you will most likely find the one that best suits your vape style.

    Aspire Favostix how it works:
In addition to notifications and some alerts, on the interface it is possible to view: percentage of charge level, coil value, duration of the last puff, set power.

    1. Quickly press the button 5 times in a row to turn the device on / off.

    2. How to adjust the output power:
Step 1) Quickly press the fire button 3 times in a row to enter the menu.
Step 2) when the power value flashes, press the key to lower / raise the wattage (the value increases by 1W per click). You can only increase the potency. To reduce the wattage you need to reach the maximum value (30W), then click the button again to restart from 1W.
Step 3) keep pressing the button to reach the desired power value, wait a few seconds and the screen will stop flashing making the change active.

    Final remarks:
I hope to have you described my impressions on this new Aspire device, in an understandable way, but now we come to the test of Vaping.
Aspire claims that Favostix is suitable for both nic salts and liquids with vg / pg boosters, for this test I used one of my favorite creamy liquids, “Boss Reserve” with 50/50 base and 4mg / ml booster.

    0.6Ω Mesh-Coil Pod (15-18 W)
With this coil I immediately set the value to 16W.
The puff is of the slightly airy MTL type, I find it perfectly balanced with the sub-ohm coil, my liquid "Boss Reserve" here is best expressed with sweet and greedy notes, however all the remaining aromatic notes are present and sufficiently balanced.
I consumed at least 15ml of liquid without feeling a drop in aroma, the vapor is quite wet and greasy with a decent blow in the throat, the vapor temperature is pleasantly warm and the cartridge insulates the lips well.

    1.0Ω Mesh-Coil Pod (12-15W)
With this coil I immediately set the value to 12W.
The puff is of the narrow MTL type with a good closure towards the end of the suction. For my vape style I usually tend to prefer sub-ohm coils also in MTL, but in this case I must say that I like this coil even more than the previous one, the sugary part seems perfectly balanced with all the other aromatic notes of the my liquid. The vapor in this case is also quite wet and greasy, the blow in the throat is more satisfying than before and this seems incredible, but this is what I perceive. The steam temperature remains pleasantly warm and the cartridge insulates the lips well in this case too.
This is the coil I have used the most, I think I have consumed over 20ml of liquid at a constant 12W and the aromatic yield is still very good.

The management of the 1,000mAh battery seems really good to me, with the 0.6Ω coil I vaped about 6ml of liquid at a constant 16W before recharging the device, for a whole charging cycle it takes about 50 minutes.

To conclude I think that Aspire has hit the mark again, not even this time has disappointed me! I recommend Favostix to those who want to quit smoking and want to start vaping with an "Entry Level" product that is very easy to use, reliable, effective, certainly cheap and with a very good yield.

    Thanks for reading
