Hey ECF! I just recently started vaping, and i love it! I've been using my MVP 2.0 with an aspire nautilus and it works alrightttt, but its not putting out the clouds i want. I'm not ready to upgrade to an rda at the moment, but i do think that better airflow in the nautilus would improve its performance. Does anyone have any experience, suggestions, or other input on this? I'm thinking about just putting 1.5mm drill bit into a drill press and boring out one of the adjustable airflow holes so its much larger.

Your the first person I had heard that was not happy with the stock airflow on the Nautulis. I don't think thats your problem. Its probably one of two things. Your are at low voltage/wattage, try 3.9-4.2v or 9.5-10.5 Watts or your juice maybe very high in PG.

The dual coils on the Nautilus give great vaper and flavor with the stock air holes.

Here's a little info on PG/VG -

What's the difference between PG eliquid, VG e-liquid, PG/VG Mix?
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) e-liquid is a thick, a little sweet liquid. VG e-liquid produces luscious clouds of vapor. VG e-liquid also imparts a sweeter taste to your liquid.

Propylene Glycol (PG) e-liquid is a much thinner liquid. PG e-liquid produces more of a “throat hit” than VG e-liquid does, which simulates the feel of smoking better. PG e-liquid also has a higher rate of sensitivity for some people, meaning that some people just can’t use PG in their vape.

What's the different between PG eliquid, VG e-liquid, PG/VG Mix? how to choose PG or VG e-liquid?

The Nautilus is not a fog machine, but definitely does the job, as others have said, a juice with more VG will make more vapor, the voltage or power you vape at is another factor, and air, the more air you get in there the more vapor, of course within its limitations. Then you have to consider the way you vape, lung or mouth hits, short or long draws etc.

I use 100% VG liquid, and i usually vape around 9.5 watts. I guess I'm just looking for those big white clouds. I used to be an avid hookah smoker, and smoking a KM I became accustomed to the wide open draw. The draw on the nautilus just feels restricted to me, and i cant fill my lung capacity without letting extra air in around the drip tip. so you do NOT recommend doing any sort of mod on the air flow?

I don't think doing the mod is going to get what you want. The Nautilus has good vapor production but but like someone said if your cloud chasing it won't be enough for you. I would recommend going to RBA's if you don't mind making your own coils.

In fact if you want youtube rip tripper's micro coil build on the Nautilus. He shows you how to build a micro coil with cotton an put it in the Nautilus head. This will give you lot more vapor and you might be happy with it. But real cloud chasing comes with sub-ohm coil builds which will also need a mechanical mod. Try the the Nautilus with micro coil. Not hard to do and give you some practice building your own coils.

you'll def get a little better performance with rebuilding with a micro coil and drill out your smallest or least used air hole. I wasn't happy with the nautilus either. It's not the perfect device everyone makes it out to be. For sure rebuild your coils tho, don't just drill out a hole and expect much or any difference with the stock coils. That's my experience and opinion anyway
