I was really excited when I saw the title of the microcoil nautilus video, until I saw that he gutted a brand new coil to do it. I guess I should try it before I knock it, I was just hoping that it would be rebuilding a previously used coil. I like my Nautilus, even more since I drilled out an additional air hole on the opposite side.

Sorry if this has already been said:

A little trick you can try if its gurgling a bit is tipping it up the other way so the juice isn't sat on wick. Take a drag or two, this will force the coil to burn just whats on the wick and might help it reduce that backlog if its over gunked then go back to normal.

This trick is very handy if your using high VG juice.

The iclear 30 is a topcoil. It's not going to flood unless you leave it upside down.

That doesn't even cause them to leak; the only way I've made mine leak, is I get the "gurgle" when I overfill beyond just covering the bottom wick. Which is weird, since I can fill my iclear16 up until it just barely doesn't cover the top seal (and they use the same heads). It must be some weird vacuum thing. I regularly invert my iclear16's, when mixing juices of varying vg levels. I haven't had one leak yet.

I haven't had good luck with bottom coils, so I won't bother commenting beyond the scope of what I know; kangers have been a cold/flavorless vape in my experience.

I've had my nautilus for about 4 days now. I didn't have any problem with the 1.8 coil. I tried the 1.6 in an attempt to get a little bit better vapor production, and thats when i noticed it also started flooding. In my case the glass cracked already at the top. not enough to were the top piece doesn't cover it, but still believe it's effecting the overall seal. Ordered the SS tank and going to try the rip tripper rebuild to see if it improves. Otherwise, when the tank is on it, it rips.

I have two Nautilus tanks and while I loved them at first, I got frustrated with the dry hits I kept getting (did the priming puffs, wet the wick prior to use, adjusted the airflow, etc.). I also had issues with getting replacement heads that were DOA. I'll still use it as a backup tank but am over them now. Good luck!

Hmmm, kinda sorry to read these negative comments. I've been using my Nautilus for about two weeks and have decided I've found my tank for life. I use the next to the largest air flow and am still using the original 1.6 coil with 70/30 juice. Have yet to have had a dry hit and I don't think a single gurgle, and absolutely no leaks. The thing hits like a train--I feel like I'm blowing clouds without rebuilding!

So after much anticipation, I finally got the SS tank yesterday. I put this on as well as the coil i rebuilt and this thing is fantastic. I use it on my chi you mod, and it hits like a champ. Vapor production is the best I have had out of the 6-7 tanks I own. Flavor is fantastic, and I don't have to worry about it breaking. Sometimes yes it has trouble wicking, but all you have to do is turn the airflow down a bit and you're solid. I highly reccomend this tank to anyone.

I recommend switching over to RBA's and RDA's. Very small learning curve and much better vape :)

The RSST is a good beginners RBA if you are interested.

I'm pretty new to vaping.. Just got my setup this week.. I know a few of you on here have raved about the Aspire Nautilus and based on that I ordered one to go along with the Iclear30 that came with my Itaste 134. So far I've been rather impressed with the iclear30 and completely unimpressed with the nautilus. It's flooded on me several times. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm running the 1.6 ohm coil that came with it, and it also has a 1.8. Is that what's making it mess up on me? I'd really like this to work but having my doubts.

Are there any other good tanks to use? I'd like to get a few so I can switch out flavors at random.

Thanks all!

First of all, I am a complete novice, but I have 3 Nautilus tanks and haven't had any issue with them so far (It's only been a week). I have tried other Ego tanks in the past, but I can't stand the gurgling or any noise at all. When I use the Nautilus on the smallest hole, there isn't any gurgle, flooding, or noise. On advice from a similar Nautilus thread, I started with the 1.8 atomizer instead of the 1.6. That way, I knew I could safely use 4.0 to 4.3 on my Provari. My e-liquid includes about 15%-20% VG, so the e-liquid may influence which air hole is used. I hope your experience improves.:)

Hey hey :) Try loosening up your airflow in the nautilus, especially if you're using a high VG liquid. I've never had a Nautilus flood on me, nor the iclear30s. They're both solid clearos. Another clearo you might try is a Protank 2 or an Aerotank. Kanger products are pretty good for starting out.

The thing to remember with clearos is that the coil/wick combinations used with them are very small, so they can't absorb as much liquid as something like an RBA. You gotta find that sweet spot where you're drawing the right amount of liquid that the coil/wick can keep up with.

I've experienced the flooding problem and this post should take care of your problem. As I have tried it and it works. :)

Two weeks in with my nautilus, it often sits partly full, and unused for most of a day, filled it several times now, so far it is my most favorite tank.

Wife has had some troubles which we assume are use patterns and are going to swap tanks next time we are both at the rinse and refill point at the same time.

I get some gurgles once in a while, maybe first 3 puffs after I have let it sit, especially if I am outside (coldish at times) and set it on a chair to vape on my other tank for a while.

Still my favorite, I would even hold it up against some of the rebuildables I have tried, and I prefer variable wattage by a great enough margin to keep using the nautilus to avoid the issues many people speak of with rebuildables and non-mech mods.
