Hey all,

Visited a vapor shop this weekend and picked up a Kanger Aero tank and an Aspire nautilus.

The Kanger has worked wonderfully. Much to my dismay, I can't say the same for the Nautilus.

The 1.6 and 1.8 ohm coils fluctuate between .8 and 1.4 ohms. I have verified this on 2 devices, an svd and MVP. Truly disappointed.

Interestingly, when I check the resistance with the unit off a mod, I get 1.6 ohm, which is correct. This leads me to believe it is the 510 connection, but on 2 separate devices?

Any help on rectifying this problem would be greatly appreciated!

I have pulled the center pin out on the Nautilus and the put it on the mod, but it still reads 1 ohm.

Aspire does have a problem with faulty 510 connections. Try and grab it with a pair of plyers and gently realign it so it's centered and flush with the tank. If that does work, take it back to your b&m and explain as well as demonstrate the issue. Sorry for your trouble. I stocked up on nautiluses... Got an aerotank and must say, I wish I just bought more aerotanks!

Did you check the security code scratch off on the back of the Nautilus box at the Aspire website. There are a bunch of fake Nautilus units going around that look like the real thing, but aren't, and that could be your problem.

I had one but I never used it as I checked that code before I took it out of the box. It was fake and that code had been used 365 times, at that point/date.

Also the real one I have now has worked flawlessly but the one I have now has a semi floating center connector on the 510 connection area that appears to be spring loaded. I have found that you shouldn't try to flush mount it as that may put to much pressure on the center pin of your devices. Just turn it down until you feel the center connector hit the center pin on the device then maybe one to one and a half more turns and then stop. Then see what your devices read as the ohms of the coils. It should be 1.6 ohms for the unit that comes installed and 1.8 for the extra head.

The nautilus has a floating center pin at the bottom of the air regulator. At first glance it looks solid but it is rubber with a pin like the heads. So my guess is your last turn of the threading is making it too tight.
