Hello everyone today I would like to say my about this interesting product entry level of the coloss Aspire.
Onixx kit is dedicated to those who want to start taking their first steps in vaping, however it can evolve together with the user (for those who want it) until it reaches a next step, then a small electronic cigarette professional.

Aspire Onixx is an MTL / RDL starter kit, the device is capable of a maximum power of 40W, the 2000 mAh battery is recharged via the USB type C port.

The Onixx tank with Top Refill and Adjustable AFC uses the well-known BP coils known for longevity and exceptional flavor. As with all Aspire devices, the Onixx kit comes with a wide range of safety features including short circuit protection, overload and overheat protection.

The Onixx Kit sliding box package with the classic Aspire white / orange colors, features the manufacturer's logo on the front, the embossed image of the Onixx Kit contained within it, the name of the complete device and the Aspire motto "Innovate The Way you vape ".

First impressions:

A product this new Aspire with a very similar appearance to the one that by many in 2020 was considered one of the best basic kits, the GTX One by Vaporesso.
Analyzing the form factor, the type of tank, the dimensions and the weight practically the same for both, we must look for the differences elsewhere, for example in the materials used for the coating of the mod or in the narrow functions of the chipset.

Aspire Onixx Kit is proposed as an alternative in this crowded sector of entry level products, it has from its excellent handling characteristics, ease of use, good quality finishes and new BP coils very appreciated in previous tests, in short, Aspire Onixx Kit has all the cards in order to do well and possibly be the most attractive starter kit for 2021.

The Aspire Onixx control panel uses a 0.87 "monochrome display on which you can view; graphic level of remaining charge, lock / unlock symbol (padlock), length of the last puff, set power, Volt, resistive value of the coil. Display with excellent brightness and the enlarged fonts the readability is very good.

The Fire button and the Up / Down adjustment buttons are circular in shape slightly protruding, have a finely worked surface, easy to reach, well inserted in the Mod and free of anomalous movements.

The USB Type-C charging port is located on the bottom of the control panel.

On the back the leather handle bears the word "Aspire" placed vertically and the word "Onixx" horizontally.

The leather or eco-leather insert covers the back and extends widely on the side surfaces, the perimeter shows off elegant stitching, on the entire covered surface the color fades to black downwards.

The 510 cup is raised just enough to avoid scratches when screwing / unscrewing the tanks, pin 510 is gold plated and spring loaded.
Onixx Mod is able to perfectly and without overhangs the Onixx 20.5mm Tank. You can use atomaizer larger than this diameter but you have to take into account less happy aesthetic results.

On the bottom Onixx Mod has a base screwed to the frame by two torx screws, on the base there are 5 vent holes for the 2,000mAh cell, the brand, the logo and the indication of origin of this device.

Onixx Tank (also available separately):

Onixx Tank is a new tank for MTL / RDL of small dimensions, at first glance it appears to be built in economy, however by handling it you realize that the parts that compose it are quite robust and well made, moreover it is equipped with numerous spare parts.
In fact, in addition to two different BP Coils, the package includes some o'ring, two Drip-Tip with double sealing ring and two different glasses; one straight of 2ml and one rounded of 3ml.

The refill takes place in the same way as a glass is filled, simply by unscrewing the top / cap, this solution is very convenient for the user and economical for the manufacturer, the gaskets that hold the glass in place are very sturdy to avoid any transitions air or liquid.
The supporting structure is the central one and has the task of hosting the coil (push and pull) and joining the top / cap and AFC base by threading.

AFC:
The air adjustment ring is equipped with limit switch stops and can choke 5 holes of 0.8mm in diameter for MTL vaping or a 10x1.5ml slot for RDL vaping.

BP Coil & RBA:
In the package there are two of the recent BP series coils, 1.0Ω BP Classic Coil: 10-16W and 0.6Ω BP Parallel Coil: 15-25W, a new type of "wire" coil to guarantee more hits and direct towards a "drier" perception of the vapor compared to the "mesh" solution.

The regeneration on the small Deck is quite simple and does not pose particular problems as long as you know the basic rules and have no visual handicaps, the Build is the same one I had previously used on the BP80, BP60 and Finixx Tank; Ka1 of 28ga, 5 turns, on a 2.5Ø for a final resistance of 1.1Ω.
• I very much appreciated the simplicity of regeneration of this small RBA.

Operation Guide:
The simplified AS Chipset allows power adjustments from 1W to 40W with an increase / decrease of 0.1W at a time.
- 5 clicks on the Fire button to turn on off the mod
- Stealth On / Off mode 3 clicks on the Fire button.
- To lock the screen but not vape; press the Up / Down buttons together.

2,000mAh battery, Warnings and protections:
The puff counter is missing, so it was not possible to carry out the usual puff / battery test, for a full charge cycle it takes about 50 minutes.
The AS chipset guarantees all the necessary protections.

Vaping test and final conclusions.
Before the vape test I was a bit doubtful about the operation of Onixx Tank due to its particular "open container" refill system, I had encountered supercharging problems on the Vaporesso GTX tank which uses a similar system, these simplified systems perhaps have their own Achilles' heel in the filling phase, most likely due to an anomalous compression of the air on the liquid when closing the tank. However, apart from an initial supercharging after the refill with some "wet" shots, everything is regularized and there are no leaks.

Aspire's choice of "wire" rather than "mesh" coils favors a drier and more charged (Hit) vapor delivery giving a very satisfying MTL vape thanks to a good AFC adjustment combined with the 1.0Ω BP Classic Coil.

With the 0,6Ω Parallel Coil, in my opinion, the aromatic yield (RDL) combined with a greater air flow also increases, while with the RBA you can have fun experimenting.

Surely Aspire Onixx Kit is a simple device, but well made, super portable and graphically appealing thanks to the good construction materials, the AS Chipset is responsive and manages the integrated battery well, with a charge cycle you can vape about 10ml of liquid at 13W. I find the Kit particularly suitable as a first way to quit smoking, suitable for those who want to start taking their first steps in "do it yourself" thanks to the RBA module that can be purchased separately. During the test I did not encounter any kind of problem, so I can recommend the purchase.
