    ► Aspire Pixo Neo; Introduction:
The original Pixo device has been on the market for a few months now, Aspire given the success of Pixo has decided to propose a new version "Pixo Neo"! In general, the new arrival does not differ much from the original project in fact we find few differences regarding the form factor, weight and dimensions, the construction materials are the same, the appearance is similar, the animated interactivity of the color display remains, but the touch function is lost, the sharing of the excellent Pixo cartridges remains. It is worth noting the increase in battery capacity that on Pixo Neo goes to 1,300mAh, a figure that will certainly please those who vape outdoors.

► Aspire Pixo Neo; 1,300mAh Battery:
On the bottom of the Aspire Pixo Neo there is a USB Type-C 5V-2A charging port to connect to the internal 1300mAh battery that allows you to deliver a maximum power of 30W, according to Aspire this battery is designed to offer up to 4 days of use on a single charge, this is certainly an interesting fact, but as we all know, the duration of the charge depends on the frequency of use and the power set. The full battery charge is quite fast, and is about 50 minutes. During charging you can view the progression of the charge.

► Aspire Pixo Neo; How it is made:
Aspire sent me the "Light Brown" color version of Pixo Neo for this test. This device has a slightly curved profile to fit well in the palm of the hand and the thickness is contained in just 16.2mm. The frame in solid Zinc alloy makes the device structurally robust without weighing excessively on the weight which remains low with about 60g overall. Pixo Neo is also pleasant to the touch thanks to its soft and well-connected lines. Pixo Neo shows attention to detail with a sober design, on the back side there is only the writing "pixo neo" together with a texture made of several crossed lines. The front side is more technological, the 0.85-inch TFT color screen with built-in LED stands out, this system is truly complete and full of visually clear information.

► Aspire Pixo Neo; Selection button and adjustable Airflow:
On the side we find the selection button that allows you to interact with the Aspire chipset to set the preferred shooting mode along with the other functions that Pixo Neo has. On the opposite side there is the system to adjust the airflow. The cursor is sufficiently precise, and after the adjustment it remains still. You can select a small hole or add 3 slots; with an open hole the shot is tight in full MTL style, on the contrary, with the addition of one, two or three open slots, the airflow is greater, and the shot soon takes on RDL / DL style connotations. This airflow system is particularly profitable to best adapt to the different Pixo cartridges available on the market today.

► Aspire Pixo Neo; Operating guide:
By pressing the button 5 times you can turn the Mod on / off. To change the wattage press the button three times. To access the menu press the button twice and scroll through the menu with another click on the button. Long press the button to enter the submenu. Long press the button to confirm the setting choice. Long press the button to return to the main menu. For energy saving (stealth mode) you can deactivate the display with 4 clicks. You can choose to use the SMART function for automatic power detection or adjust the power in the recommended range, or you can deactivate SMART and manually select the power from 5 to 30W with 0.5W steps at a time. You can adjust the brightness of the screen, you can also choose 3 attractive and different screens, 3 animation themes (animation can be deactivated). To monitor the battery charge status you can rely on the percentage of charge clearly indicated on the display, but you can also refer to the color of the LED. During use the LED has a fixed color, during charging the LED takes on a pulsating color as follows:

    • Battery level Red LED 0-30%
    • Battery level Blue LED 30-60%
    • Battery level Green LED 60-100%

Pixo Neo offers different modes of vapor production depending on individual preferences which are; A or B by pressing the button, or by direct extraction, but also in a combined way by selecting "AB". The chipset implements all the main safety functions, including; Cut Off (7s), Low battery, Overheating, Resistance too low, Pod not detected, Charging anomaly. Furthermore, the firmware is designed to be updated, and in the future Aspire will release the updates to download on the company website.

► Aspire Pixo Neo; Refillable disposable cartridges:
The Pixo Neo Pod compartment houses gold-plated contacts for optimal electrical conductivity, two magnets to effectively hold the installed pod, and the control sensor for automatic puff activation.

The Pixo Neo kit comes with two cartridges; one 0.4Ω (3ml) with a 23-30W range for DL/RDL vaping and one 0.6Ω (3ml) with a 14-19W range (pre-installed) for RDL/MTL vaping. The tank is filled by lifting the orange silicone cap. The generously sized hole fits most commercially available e-liquid bottles. The large transparent surface of the cartridge allows for easy monitoring of the internal e-liquid level. According to Aspire, this type of cartridge offers an average 43% longer coil life and an optimal flavor duration that is 36% longer than other disposable cartridges offered by competitors.

In the image below you can see the different types of cartridges, available today for Pixo and Pixo Neo. All with Mesh coils, with 2ml (TPD) and 3ml (Free) capacity.
    • 0.4Ω Range 23-30W DL/RDL (Included)
    • 0.6Ω Range 14-19W RDL/MTL (Included)
    • 1.2Ω Range 9-13W MTL
    • 1.0Ω Range 10-15W MTL

► Aspire Pixo Neo; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
Both coils that are present inside these cartridges pleasantly surprised me; they maintain the typical reaction speed of the meshes, without kneading and sweetening the flavor too much, but on the contrary they make the flavor well defined and natural. The cartridge with a 0.6Ω resistance is perfect for MTL vaping in combination with a single open hole, this AFC setting releases a rather contrasted draw together with a powerful hit in the throat, by opening a loop or two the MTL vape becomes looser and fresher, with substantial clouds of vapor. The 0.4Ω cartridge lends itself well to RDL vaping above 20W and with fruity or creamy e-liquids. With two or three open loops the vapor is concentrated and hot at the right point, the clouds are abundant and the flavor is not dispersed. After testing these cartridges on both the original Pixo and the Pixo Neo, I quantified the duration of these excellent cartridges as medium/long (depending on the type of eliquid used). In conclusion; like the original Pixo, the new Pixo Neo is characterized as a versatile pod system that can fully satisfy the MTL but also RDL vaping style. The compact size, the robustness of the Mod, the increased battery life, and the quick charge, make the Pixo Neo perfect for those looking for a vape that is at the same time pocket-sized, powerful. The Display together with the interactive LED offers numerous information, furthermore you can select/deactivate different lights, themes and animations. The security features provided by the ASP chipset make the Pixo Neo a reliable and safe choice for all vapers. In conclusion, the new PIXO NEO as well as the Original PIXO are devices that both offer much more quality and substance than the competition, and this is really a valid reason to immediately run to purchase one of this kit.

    • I would like to thank ASPIRE for providing me with support. I hope this review was helpful for anyone looking to purchase the Pixo Neo Pod Kit.
