So, I recently got myself a spinner 2 and a protank 3 mini as an upgrade to my halo triton. I like everything I have so far, but wanted to see how the protank 2 mini compared to the 3 with the single vs dual coil set up.

I stopped by my local b&m on my way home from work, excited because I had some vapemail waiting at home.

Unfortunately, they were fresh out of the pt2 mini that I wanted, but they had a mini Davide. I decided since they were so similar, I'd pick it up instead. No big deal.

As I got home, I realized that I had a package that even the owner didn't know about. My mini Davide came with a nice little adapter to allow the use of aspire dual coils and...you guessed it... Aspire dual coils instead of the kanger single coils I expected.

The draw is a little tighter than I'd hope, but once I pick up some single coils, I'll figure out if its because of the glassomizer or the dual coils (the aspire dual coils seem like they might be a bit obtrusive to the airflow)

Not all is lost though. Now I have a backup tank in case (heaven forbid) something happens to my pt3 mini.

to ecfbatman624. So glad you are here. The most important thing is having plenty of backups for absolutely everything. Glad you found a B&M that you like. I have only been in 2 places but was not very impressed. I find better deals on line. Here is a link to a thread I use to look at all time. I have gotten some really good deals on here. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-185.html Might as well get it while it is on sale. ;)

Welcome again and happy vaping. :)

you got an adapter to enable the use of x and x?
instead of an adaptor to enable the use of x and y?
The package I took home unknowingly contained the adapter. From what I knew, a typical mini Davide came with manger coils.

It kinda made my purchase pointless, but hey... lemonade, right?

I use both the mini ProTank 2's and the mini Davide's. They both use the Kanger single coil. I've also been able to use the base of a regular size ProTank or Davide on the minis (same threads) to use on top of a beauty ring (the larger base holds the beauty ring down) so you don't see the "well" of the ProVari I'm using the minis on. Sort of has a "stair step" look.

The ProVari beauty ring ($9) can be used on other mods and has multiple groves all around it which adds a touch of decorative flared when used as above.

There are two versions of the Davide line. The "newer" version - both full size and mini - uses dual coils. The older version uses single, and can use Kanger heads.

If you have the newer one, you can take out a couple parts and make it compatible with single coil heads. Remove the "middle" metal part (battery attachment, middle, tube) and the small white grommet. Keep them in case you want to go back to dual coil.

There shouldn't be a large difference in air flow between single and dual, but duals will probably give a warmer and stronger vape - and less vape time per charge.
