If you've never used it, it's a DOA arrival and most suppliers will replace them. It happens. Have you had it a while or did you receive it recently? If you just got it, contact your supplier and see what they'll do for you. If you've had it a while, explain that you've been using cartomizers exclusively and that's why you didn't catch the DOA right away. You've got nothing to lose by trying.

I think I will do that. I purchased the kit from Liberty Flights and they've been extremely helpful.

Thank you....I am not able to see any sign of a glow, let alone the coil. Will have to give it another try.

"the vape is actually producing more of a smoking sensation and throat hit than the cigarettes themselves"
Will remember this when I have to sit on myself to keep from going after a pack. Don't know what I will do if I can't get these things to work.

One way you can tell if your atty is working is to look, in the dark, down in the hole to see if you notice glowing. If you can't discern, you can also hold it near your ear and listen for noise, like a small hiss.

A couple things to remember after you clean your atty. They now will require many more drops at first to re prime them, as mentioned by others. Also keep in mind, that sometimes you can accidentally re-adjust the filler material which sits underneath your metal bridge, which will impede the experience for a few minutes. Or, what happened to me when I used an air compressor once to blow it out, you can completely blow out your filler. At that point, my coil got hot, but there was no way for the juice to travel or "wick" from the bridge and metal mesh, down into the hot coil. Just some stuff to keep in mind.

And lastly, for cleaning my attys, I don't do any of the fancy things to them anymore. I simply run some tap water through them, blow them out, run some more water, blow out and then rinse with isopropyl alcohol 70% and blow them out. I don't even wait at that point, I put them back onto a battery and start running some dry burns. After a few dry burns I take some cigar like puffs without inhaling to clear out any leftover water or alcohol, and the attys are good to go. Whole process takes maybe 5 mins.

Hi again Toto, I have some additional information that might help:

After rinsing the atomizer with WomanOfHeart's guide, it can take several minutes of holding holding the power down to get the orange glow to appear. What I did was hold it down for 10 seconds at a time, then stopped, blew on the atomizer (not with my lips on it, but blowing on it to cool it), then repeating the process upward of 15-20 times. Eventually the orange glow will appear, but before then, I did not see anything (though the atomizer WAS heating up and some wisps of vapor were produced). So, if you don't see the orange glow immediately, keep at it, it can take several minutes to appear! Once it does, I used the technique she described by holding the power down in half second intervals, just long enough to maintain the glow, and for 10 seconds at a time before I cool the barrel of the atomizer with my breath.

Thank you Swedish. I may have to switch to those; although, I have read where they clean those also. Then I would get frustrated again when it didn't work for me, AND, I would want a cigarette. lol

Yes Ice, I can hear a sizzle or see wisps of smoke at times, so know the atty is not completely dead at least with the one I have been working with to revive. Aware on the priming; yet wondering how one knows that they have overfilled other then when you have juice all over the place. Oh no!!! Thanks for the tips..

Thanks Scumsberg for the additional info. I will try doing the drying process for a longer period of times and not sure I have the final process exactly right either.

Hard for me to comprehend why I loose the smoke/vapor, th, within a full puffs of the initial usage(topping off, new pre-filled cartridges, etc). Does not even work for a day like it does initially, and I do not vape all that much. I was down to 4-10 cigs a day most of the time when I started.

Thank you all for your help.....

If you don't get good results using alcohol, soad them overnight in white vinegar. Rinse under hot water. Blow out and let dry completely. Do a quick dry burn. The dry burn is to remove any remaining vinegar taste. For some reason, I have better luck with the white vinegar to clean atty's and CE2 cartomizers. Please don't use the white vinegar in the filler type cartomizers. You'll regret it. CE2's don't have filler. They have wicks that hang down inside the tubes and the heating element sits on top and is very visible once you remove all 3 silicone plugs. Good luck and hope everyone who is experience technical difficulties find the resolution they so desire. Don't give up. It could also be a case of a bad batch of atty's from the manufacturer.
