yesterday my protank 2 was working fine.

this morning, all of a sudden it hardly produces any vape took it off my k101 and it was flooded, blew through the tank and a lot of juice flew out. i thought the coil went bad, i cleaned out the tank and replaced the head and it still does it. both of the head have the original flavor wicks in them. should i add a third?

any idea what could be causing this? i store all my tanks sitting up and never lay them down.

please help

mind you, I don't use protanks,,,,,,,but most of those heads are similar,,,,,,

did you remember to replace the little rubber cap that goes on top over the wicks and coils???

I forgot once, and it kept flooding like crazy.

i thought about that 2, but they both had the little rubber cap on.

It's pressure sensitive.

If it's a new head, chances are you probably should have taken out at least one of the flavor wicks. You aren't getting enough of the wick saturated when you take your vape. Removing one or both will remove that problem.

I get a ton of vapor from my protanks, but they will leak out the bottom unless they are 75% filled or greater.

I recoil my own and use cotton to wick them. Works very well if I'm in that "fill" range.

I use predominantly Kanger tanks and also Kanger coils, I did recently have a flooding issue with mine (first time in a long time) and I thought the reason was a big temperature fluctuation, or a bad batch of coils. the only other time I did have an issue like that was when the coil wasn't seated correctly or tightly enough, or when the chimney part wasn't pushed all the way back down.

its very frustrating...its a brand new tank and the first 6 days with it, it worked great. my other 4 pro tanks work great.

I'm going to take a wick out now. lets hope

If you blow through a BCC to clear a flood with the battery end down or juice level over the wicks you are forcing more liquid into the wick/coil area & over pressurizing the tank. The flooding will usually not clear or it will return quickly or get worse.

It is best to dry the air tube with a rolled/twisted napkin/paper towel/TP then turn clearo battery side up give a couple short firm blows leave the tank inverted for a minute or two so the internal pressure can equalize, re dry the air tube if necessary.

Removing flavor wicks is the best way to cause flooding, when you remove them the area left by its absence lets the coil over saturate, leading to easier flooding.

thank you. I'm drying them now, but this time I'm going to let it set for an hour to make sure it is deed.

If i want to clear a flood from this tank, i unscrew the bottom, dry off the post that covers the coil (and your wick) and blow out through the post and out the bottom.

if you try to blow through the drip tip with everything assembled, the liquid will just pour out and won't solve your problem.

removing one flavor wick from a stock head of a protank is very common.

are you talking about the base + head + center post

and you're referring to looking through that center post down towards the bottom where the pin makes contact with your connection and fires, right?

i'm if that's the case and the center post is connected to the base, there will be very little light, if anything. if you have the post off and can see the actual coil there should be a little hole underneath that the air is drawn through. you could see a little there

Six days is a long time for a Kanger coil to last in my experience. Maybe the coil isn't getting hot enough to keep the wick from getting over-saturated. Clean or replace it if all else fails.

that is what i thought, but i replaced it and it still leaks. plus every time i fill my tanks, i dry burn my coils. my coils last a long time in find if i do that
