Atlantis .5 Discontinued???

Hello All!

So I recently saw that Aspire is discontinuing .5 ohm coils for the Atlantis, and I have to say, I'm pretty upset. I have an MVP 3.0, which only does 30W, so that basically means that my mod can no longer work with my Atlantis V1 and V2 as the 1.0 ohm coils are rated 40w-50w and the .3 are rated 70w-80w. I tried the 1.0, but it barely produces any vapor at 30w. I can't believe they would completely end support of the .5 ohm coils so soon. I'm surprised I haven't seen more people being ...... about this, as these tanks I just purchased are now functionally useless.

Is this grinding anyone else's gears?

VAPE ON!!!!:vapor:

I hope not. I find .3 draims too much juice and battery. It wouldn't make sense to completly discontinue the .5ohms completly. Perhap you read they are going to discontinue the first gen .5 coils? I know they were going to eventually as OCC's are very popular... Can you link where you read that?

Aspire - Atlantis OCC BVC Coil 5-pack

This has been my go-to retailer when the b&m doesn't have what I need for some time, you gotta check them out. Free shipping in the US, always same day if you order before 5, huge selection, impeccable customer service. A rare company you can trust.(I am in no way affiliated, in case that could get me in trouble here.)

Anyways, they explicitly state that Aspire has discontinued them, and they have strictly carried OCC only for some time now. I hope it's not true as well, and if so, is a total head-scratcher. The Atlantis is what, 9 months old? I understand this industry is growing insanely fast, but maintaining support for the investments of your customers should be of utmost importance. They still sell pro tank coils for crying out loud.

I won't believe it until I see confirmation beyond what that one store says. For example they are still listed on Aspires wholesale site.

Also I've been hearing about compatibility with the new triton tank, so if the 0.5 ohm's did become unavailable I think the 0.4 ohm's from the triton will work in the atlantis?

That would be my guess. If Aspire is discontinuing the .5ohm coil it's simply going to be replaced with the .4ohm coil. It wouldn't surprise me if they also discontinued the .3ohm coil for the Atlantis as well.

It doesn't really make any sense to make a .5, .4, and .3 ohm coil for the same tank. That's too many different coils that are all so close together that there won't be any real performance difference. From a manufacturing point of view it would make more sense to just make the .4ohm coil and discontinue the other two.
