Atlantis v2 + Aspire esp30 box mod

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying the Atlantis v2 and the Aspire esp box mod but I was just wondering if the 30 watts from the esp30 is going to be enough to get the best out of it! Has anyone who's got the esp30 ever found it lacking?

Atlantis v2 New coils (recommended wattage per Aspire)

1. 20-30W (0.5Ω coil)
2. 40-50W (1Ω coil)
3. 70-80W (0.3Ω coil)

So with those specs in mind if I was to use the 0.5 at 30W would it perform similarly to of I had a the 0.3 in and running at 80? Is the difference that noticeable? I'm a bit new to sub ohming so sorry if this is a bit nooby!

No, they would not perform the same.

The 0.3Ω coil at higher wattage will give more vapor and be a warmer vape. More vapor = higher juice consumption as well.

Hi Wax. When people consider going into sub ohm vape I suggest "headroom". If you're planning on running 30W on a tank I'd suggest a higher wattage mod (50 to 100) In this manner you're not running the mod at max every time you vape.

Looking at the proposed wattages @Susan~S gave I think there is a typo,

1. 20-30W (0.5Ω coil) <---should be the 1 ohm coil
2. 40-50W (1Ω coil) <----should be the .5 ohm coil
3. 70-80W (0.3Ω coil)

In my opinion the 30W is underpowered for the Atlantis V2 Good luck

For the price of the esp 30w you can get better value elsewhere, plenty of cheap 60,70,100w mods around at the moment that will do everything you want and more.

30w is pretty low to power the Atlantis v2

Thanks for your replies! The thing that was attracting me to the esp was that it's reasonably small in comparison to other mods! Could ahyone reccomend a mod with about a 50-60w output that isn't the size of a 1970s mobile phone?

I have not used this mod but many members do. Look at the IPV2 Mini and check out a few reviews of it on youtube. It goes up to 70 watts. You would also need to purchase a 20A or 30A 18650 battery if you use this mod.

18650 Batteries

2. Sony VTC4 2100mah 30A (there are no authentic VTC5's out there)
3. Xtar 2100mah 30A (re-wrapped Sony VTC4)

1. AW 1600mah 24A

4. Samsung 25R 2500mah 20A
5. AW 2200mah 20A (new)

Where to Get Batteries

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

The Aspire ESP is 3-3/4" x 1-5/8" x 1". So you want a mod that is roughly about that size?

The joyetech evic-VT. It is 60 watts, also has temperature control and can accomodate nickel and titanium wire. It measures in at 3-1/4" x 1-7/8" x 1".

The Innokin iTaste MVP 3 Pro has 60 watts and is a bit bigger at 4" x 1-3/4" x 7/8".

The Sigelei 50 has 50 watts and measures in at 3-3/4" x 1-3/4" x 7/8". The Sigelei does require you buy a separate battery.

The new Kanger Subox comes in at 50 watts and measures 1.41" x 0.86" x 5.7" (the height of 5.7" considers the Subtank Mini on it as well, so the mod itself will come in at around 3-7/8" tall). The Subox also requires a separate battery.
