Well after hours of trying different builds....I think I have this Diver licked. 30 gauge Silver, 30 gauge Kanthal, 3/2 wrap metered out to .74 ohms. Been chainvaping it for a while now. No leaking and no dry hits. The draw is a little tight for me, but still loving it. I think the thing that made the difference in the wicking was the use of the organic cotton.

Hi strprswpr, a buddy tagged me to your FB pix of your setup. That's some cool wick you've got there. How many tankfuls you've been running with this setup?

Still on the second tank. Is there any way to increase the airflow in these things?

Yes, the airflow very much depends on the top cap design of your mod. Max airflow would be running a hybrid adapter for the 510 connector. But at the end of the day, it's not gonna be genesis/dripper kinda large airflow. When I run mine on the hybrid mode, it's like a 1.2-1.3mm airhole equalavant on a genesis. YMMV

Ok so today I ran a little test.. I have 5ea pre-made ready cups and I was curious as to why some are getting leaks and others are not..

I have 2 Divers.. One has been in my tank with the same cup since it arrived and it's leak free!

My 2nd Diver was purchased for use with the Grail (love it by the way) but wanted to test it out in my tank to see if it leaked..

Yup! Leak, leak, leak... And I am not talking a little here, it leaked worse than an old Russian submarine!

Ok.. A little investigation and I find the bottom pin does not fit as snug as it does in my 1st Diver cup that has been leak free.. I assume it's the cup so I grab a pre-made cup and again it feels loose. Load it up and leak, leak, leak...

Crud! 2 cups that are pretty much DOA..

Okie dokie.. Grab a 3rd pre-made cup and on this one the pin sits nice and tight like the cup on my 1st Diver does.. Bingo! Not a single drop!

Now I am curious and test out the rest of my pre-made cups.. One is loose and leaks the other is tight and dose not!

The moral of this story is that all cups are NOT created equal...

Of my 5 pre-made cups only 2 do not leak..

This does irritate me a little as they are not cheap and it's a basic roll of the dice..

My suggestion is that if you have leaks to try a different cup!

Atmistique needs better quality control with these cups or perhaps they can come up with a different supplier of them..

Raqball, you beat me to it. I've been too busy to run a similar test. Thank you, this is awesome!

I mentioned a few pages back that the weak link here is the only part that I assume is made in China - the CE2 ceramic. My suspicion was that the cups were too far out of spec.

I have almost 30 cups here, so I'm going to play with them when I receive my third and fourth Divers, see if I can replicate this behavior.

If I'm not mistaken, getting cups made in Europe makes them 5 times more expensive - but, then again, folks who buy originals know this is the case with all the made-in-China stuff. I'd rather have fewer cups that all work, than have to buy a bucket of them and toss half away.

Its very difficult to have exactly the same ceramics because of the material they made.

U are absolutely right a loose ceramic may give leaks.

Pls see some posts above, the "angle" solution for loose ceramics. U will see how easy this trick maybe is the solution for your leaks.

Can you please direct me to this post as I can't find it.. I'd love to be able to save the leaky cups for tank use but at this point I will simply save and use them for use with the Grail...

I am not sure how the leaky cups can be saved though as it's pretty obvious the leaky ones are to big and the bottom pin fits too loose allowing the juice to flow out like a faucet..

Oh, and thank for the response! I certainly don't put all the blame on you as I know you do not make the cups...

A good cup and a Diver can't be beat and is one of the best vapes around!

Yes.. I had a total of 7 pre-made cups. 1ea that came with my Divers and a 5 pack of ready made.. Of the 7 cups total I have 3 that do not leak..

That's kind of a bummer since they only place in the US that I could find selling the pre made cups prices them at $4 each.. The non pre made cups are $2 each..

As a side note for others following this.. With the leaky cups I also tired filling the tank with the air hole outside the tank.. No dice, it still leaked..

I don't know if this is conclusive but I fully believe it's the cups that cause leaking. If the bottom post has a loose fit you are going to leak, end of story.. If it's a tight fit then you are probably good to go..

3 working cups out of 7 is not good odds / numbers but I love the Diver so all is good...

Are we absolutely positive it's the cups? I didn't have this problem with the Killer and it uses the same cup.

This is good enough for me. Considering how much I've spent on gear the last couple of months, spending a bit more to get some more cups, and using the "bad" ones in my Grail Diver and eBarons is a no-brainer.

With low-end gear like Protanks, any issues in the design are yours forever, until such time as they release the next version which might address those issues. Protank flooding and gurgling, anyone?

If some more of us can confirm this is the cause, I'll consider this a great result.
