Hello Fellow Diver Users... New to the Forum but been vaping for a few Yrs.

I've had my diver for about 2 months now and have a 2nd one on the way. I have done some modifications to increase air flow and get a consistent vape out of it.

So heres what Ended up doing, please advise these modifications worked for me but my have different results for others. I take no responsibility if u destroy your Diver performing these modifications.

Ported the lower portion of the diver on both sides and Ported one side of the center post which aligns to whatever hole is chosen so air can draw thru the sides and thru the center post instead of the bottom:

Onto the coil setup, i used a toothpic to wrap a 3/4 coil with 30g Kanthal. I prepped the coil in the cup and did a prefire at 3.3v to set harden the kanthal. Then i inserted the cotton wick which I soaked before i fired it. Do NOT dry fire the cotton wick. Here is the aftermath: 1.3ohm @ 3.5v

As for the Cotton wick what i did was i let it extend out the sides of the ceramic cup about 1/16" or enough that it touches the inner portion of the tube so that any juice that seeps inside gets sucked up by the wick.

The end result is a nice cooool vape with lots of flavor.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have questions.

What size drill bit did you use to do this? It's a great idea, although I am pretty happy with the air flow on the diver stock...

Hole size is 1/32"

What are you using to fire your Diver?

Thanks, I just so happen to have a drill bit that small. I currently have my Diver on a Wizard's Apprentice by Mark Bugs. This PV is notorious for having a shallow 510 connection, so I have a bit of a gap atm which probably assists airflow. I also have used it on an RM Pulse, in which the flange of the diver fit right down in the grooves of the top cap of the pulse seemingly cutting off airflow (see pic), but air intake seemed to be just fine. Not nearly as open of a draw as something like a Kayfun lite or a genny with a 1.5mm air hole, but still adequate for my liking.

Ahhh ic. If airflow is fine then i'd leave the diver as is. I just like a more free flowing vape with less restriction as possible.

If u decide to port the diver i would make the holes line up to 2 of those slots.. Ill post up my dual coil diver setup one im able to get it firing good...

Hey guys! I have only recently become a diver/grail/scuba owner. My question for you guys is whether it is possible to purchase only a diver "base" 510 connection? That way I would vw able to simultaneously use my diver in the scuba and grail, without having to purchase an additional diver. Thanks ahead of time for your help!

It's been asked several times and the answer is...... Nope..

I too would love to be able to buy the base only for the same exact thing but we can't.. Yet..

Maybe in the future it will be offered but for now, you'd need a 2nd Diver..

Here's a problem I haven't heard before. The mark on the base that lines up with the juice hole is now off by around I'm guessing 1/4". I had to make a new mark on the base. How could this happen?

I replaced the oring on my Diver thinking that would line the juice hole back up to the original mark on the base but that didn't happen. The oring fits perfectly but I'm still having to use the new mark. So the oring wasn't the problem. If this keeps happening I'm going to have marks all over the base of the Diver eventually. Any other suggestions?

buff out the marks with 400+ grit wet/dry sandpaper and re-mark? if you have access to a dremel, use the highest grit sanding or buffing wheel to accomplish the same.

Hi! Im thinking of getting a diver. But im curious if the diver will feed right with a sub ohm coil. I normally build my coils .5-.7. Will that work with a diver?

I'ver never ran ohms that low and honestly I never would.. It's just a matter of time until a PV goes BOOM with these low ohm coils..

Here is what I do..

I don't even mark my Divers.

I put the ceramic cup in the base but not firmly. Trim the wick ends and screw the tube on. I look down the tube to see where the juice hole is and judge my alignment. Remove the tube and adjust. One I get it centered I seat the cup and insert the pin.

You'd be surprised that after doing it this way a few times you can almost judge the alignment and get pretty darn close the 1st time.
