hey does that M601 atty compatible with 510?

No... It only works with the M601 and M602 Ultra.

is the battery for the 601 closed at the top like the 510, to where all the leaking that may occur with dipping and dripping wont get in the batt. like the 401. i love my 401 but i have lost some batterys 2 this and have yet 2 lose a 510 battery.

The M601 battery has female threading (inwards) the same as the 510.
The M401 battery has male threading (outwards).

The M401 and M601 both have a small hole in the centre of the battery, but we have not had any issues or problems from liquid leaking into the battery.
