I'm vaping on atomizers for 4-5 months already but I have this one here that I've been vaping on it for a full 24 hours and it still doesn't wanna break, still no taste or almost nothing of my liquid and it's starting to drive me nuts. Is it possible that some atomizers are just bad and doesn't give their full potential ? Or is it possible that some atomizers need a longer time to break ?

I've also fill it with a lot of eliquid and blow real hard through it 3 times, but it still is giving this new atomizer taste (yuck), not my liquid.

Imma gonna switch to a brand new one and start breaking it before I go crazy.

I stopped believing the B.S. that one has to "break in" an attie a long time ago. After giving the atty a good flooding, it should work perfectly right out of the box. Of course the peformance begins to degrade almost immediately.

Don't vape off the liquid that is on the atty when you get it either. It is there to protect the atty. Vape it off an the atty will be...uh...unprotected.

If I could occasionally lick an ashtray, I think I can tolerate the shipping juice :)

I've had atties that needed a little breaking in before, but I've never had a brand new one that doesn't deliver taste like the one you describe. It might be a bad atty or one where the resistance is much higher than it's supposed to be. If you have a multimeter you could check the resistance to see if that might be the problem. You might also try drowning it in your e-liquid for a few hours to get it to absorb the flavor better. If you have one of those cartomizer condoms you could fill it up with liquid and set your atty in it for a while.

I never really had to break in my attys, other than blowing out the preservative juice that comes in them.

Prime the bridge with 3 or 4 drops of juice, fill and attach the cart.

Take a few non-inhaled puffs until the vapor starts to get good and it's broke in.

And sometimes you just get a bad atty. I would just toss it if it's been 24 hours and its still not perfroming.

Well for me, a brand new atty doesn't give the full taste of my eliquid, usually it takes just a few hours, like 4. It's especially bad the first 30 minutes, after this it gets much better every draw.

I tested it with a multimeter, reads 2.1 like it should be. LR atty. I also put it in my liquid for around 5 hours in a carto condom and it still tasted bad. There's a white filament of something sticking out from the bridge and is now glued to the side of the atty on the metal. I also checked my 25 other brand new atty and 3 of them are also like that. It's like a very small white rope that's getting burn, maybe I'm vaping this and this would explain the bad taste. First time I'm seeing this.

These atty from greenhouseone doesn't come with any preservative juice, doesn't look like it's making any difference, they're very good and cheap. I guess I had a bad one tho, my first one out of 10 ! It's in the trash now.

Thanks all for your input!

If you check all your atomizers a little more carefully, I think you'll find that they all have this "wick" under the bridge.
It's perfectly normal, and every atomizer I've ever gotten has one.

As DC2 pointed out, that little rope thing between the coil & bridge is called the wick. The wick itself is heat resistant and shouldn't ever burn, but it can seem like it is when old juice gets gunked up on it. The gunked up juice on the wick can burn and that taste can ruin just about any atty. It's happened to me many times. This is why I ALWAYS remove the wicks from my atomizers. This is especially easy if you're using an atty with an exposed bridge like the 306. So if you're dripping and not using a cartridge go ahead and remove that wick. It should really help.

Right, it should be under the bridge, not on the side like the atty I had, maybe that's why it tasted bad. I guess it needs to be under the bridge to work. Just my theory because all the 40 other atty I have the wick is under the bridge and can be barely seen.

Digs & fray :
I ain't gonna remove the wick tho, it's fine there, it doesn't bother me. I tried the bridgeless atty from greenhouse and didn't like it either. God this thing flood easily.

Ah, well then in that case, that is probably your problem right there.
It sounds like the wick is not connected, and therefore the atomizer is not wicking nearly as well.
