Atomizer Question

What's the difference between 510, 901 and any other number that accompanies atomizers. I thought it was the thread connection but I'm thinking I'm incorrect in that.

510 is a thread style, as far as I know 901 is a model that may have another thread style.

My reason for saying this is because I've had mods that were "618" models but they were 510 threads.

I know the difference between a 510 atty and 306 atty. Both have a 510 connection, both similar at the basic stuff, coil, bridge etc. The 510 atty has a cup you can drip into and stick a drip tip on, the 306 atty was the predecessor to the 510 atty that used cartridges that slid onto the top with pre-filled foam or sponge. 901 I think is a 901 battery connection, though I could be mistaken.

I read that 901's have an air hole for a more airy draw. Maybe they are just all slightly different.
