@KTMRider Did you remove the airflow grub screw? It is possible you are having problems with conductivity if you did as the 510 shaft touches that screw.Just a thought. Also be sure the center post didn't twist on you as you tightened down the nut.
I was worried about twisting mine when putting them back together. I took them apart just to be sure they didn't. Mine are fine making them real tight.

I didn't remove it but it's not in the way. I also made sure the pos block is centered (amateur :p).

Can someone answer this Plus version question for me please?

Simply, does it hang over the side of an istick 30?

I'm cornfused. The GS Air MS is supposedly 22 mm wide, there is easily 2 mm total space on iS top outside the edges of the MS.

Then I see This reveiw with appears to be a standard 2 ml v3 Real Deal. On what to me appears to be an iS, there appears to be NO space left on the top of the iS and the standard v3 is only 19 mm wide. The standard GS Air is 19 mm and there is Noticable space on the iS top with it.

Hep me out here yall. I'll settle for a 2 ml before I have a bunch of tank base hanging over the mod edge. PS; I measured the top of my iS 30 and it's 7/8" = 22.2 mm wide. Sooo, if the specs of the Plus are correct at 24 mm wide, it Would overhang the iS 30 edges.

It's hard to say because there are so many factors at play. I wouldn't even have a guess one way or the other. There is always a learning curve when using a tank for the first time. You can change resistances, airflow, wicking, and wattage to get it where you like but it will require some trial and error. Some tanks do some of these things better then others so research is important to get you in the ball park. I just watched a video on the kayfun minis and the bases are a slightly smaller diameter and they do bump out to some degree. Hopefully someone else will chime in that actually has the plus version.

I think it is better..surprised it's working at all as it has the first ever coil I have made in it :).
The coil and/or wick is not right though..getting a scorched taste out of it. Made out of 30g at 2.5mm, maybe to much cotton..?
Gonna try 28g at 2mm and see how that is..
IDK..open to suggestions.

Swampus, make sure you are opening the JFC enough. If you have a fair amount of cotton in the well, just open it up until you see bubbles rising. You should see bubbles every other pull or so. If you do not, open up another half turn. If you are getting a burnt taste it is usually not enough juice getting to the wicks or too high a wattage and it is burning off the liquid on the coil faster than it can feed.

What resistance did the coil come out to?

Yes what he said... I forgot to say that. I open mine 2 full turns on both mine. Never a dry hit or a flood.
