Ok. Run the same cotton for two weeks and then tell us it's the same as rayon :)

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

That would depend greatly on quite a few factors. I can run Rayon in my Erlkonigin with same juice, same build, same power, and it will outlast cotton probably 3-1, However On my FEV 3/VS, or Taifun GT/GS it is exactly opposite, KF4 seems to like cotton, or Rayon about the same, I get about the same wick life with Either.

juice, Power, Resistance, coil, build quality all make a difference. Anyone who does not bother experimenting with various wicking, depending on the previously mentioned IMO is gimping their vape experience. I will say in the 100 or so various atomizers I own Rayon is not always the answer.

Thanks to all the posters for the great information here - really helped me a lot getting my Tobeco going.

Question: Is your #4 slip ring thick enough so it comes up above the top rim of #3 and #5 sits on it?

I think this is how it should be, otherwise #3 and #5 are metal-to-metal which doesn't seem right since they have to turn against each other as JC opens and closes. The #4 that came with my Tobeco sits below the rim of #3. (All things happen for a reason I guess)... The first thing I did when I got mine was lose #2 down the drain cleaning it (stupid me). I wasn't finding a complete spares kit in stock anywhere, but I did find in this thread that EVcigarettes.com had individual EHPro replacement parts. So I ordered a #2 and also a #4. Ah! The EHPro #4 ring is thicker than the Tobeco and the top of it is just above the top rim of #3 so that #5 sits on it. The EHPro #4 is also a whiter material, it looks more like the picture of the spare on the original's site. I did find and order a complete Tobeco spare kit in the mean time, so I have another Tobeco #4. Here's what I measured:

#4 that came with the Tobeco: 1.35mm / 53mil thick
#4 from Tobeco spare kit: 1.35mm / 53mil thick
#4 EHPro: 1.56mm / 62mil thick

Measuring the height of #3 without #4 in (not including the 510 thread part): 6.25mm. Same, with the EHPro #4 in: 6.31mm. So the EHPro #4 is .06mm / 2mil above the top of #3 and #5 slides nicely on it. Seems like that's how it should be. From those, the "ledge" that #4 sits on in #3 is 1.5mm below the top and the Tobeco #4 is .15mm below the top of #3.

I did have to thin #7 to allow JC to turn freely with #9 tight. Both the #7 that came with it and from the spare kit were .94mm / 37mil. I thinned to .79mm / 31mil, so down 6mil. Would have only needed to be down 4mil without the extra 2mil that the thicker EHPro #4 added I guess, but it still would have needed to be thinned.

I want to get another V4, I really like it. But if I get another Tobeco, which is fine otherwise, I need to get an EHPro #4 to make it right? Maybe it doesn't matter if #5 sits on #3. I haven't seen anyone else mention this as a problem. Comments? Do your #3 and #5 contact? Maybe I'm just too picky...

Just wanted to chime in with my experience. I got a Tobeco clone and my first tank was great but I started getting the leaking from the juice flow valve. Looks like I'm going to be ordering some O-ring replacements. I have a feeling its the square O-ring because its recessed pretty good in there and doesnt look thick enough.

It's just a round one. You could put some string or dental floss under the oring to stop the leak.

I'm thinking of getting another, but will try the Infinite or the SS 316 since they come with all the spares and seem to have no leaking issues and good threading. Had to get my diagram out again to follow the post at this point lol My 1st K4 version from FT (2018000) leaks . due to #16 (it is round, not square) needed replacing, but fear it won't do the job since is the same item again. There doesn't appear to be a #7 in that one at all, maybe I haven't seen it when cleaning yet!!

I haven't found #5 and #3 to be an issue at all due to #4

Don't confuse a leaking o-ring with liquid going down the air port (under the coil) due to wicking issues. Tip your rig upside down and take a few powered draws off of it. If that gurgling clears up after a few hits your getting too much juice.

I get the same thing when I shut down the air intake to get the tighter draw that I prefer. When I open up the air to where it's just bordering on a lung hit, it usually straightens itself out. That extra internal pressure from the tighter draw draws too much liquid up into my build and it ends up going down the air flow port. I'm still trying to find that perfect amount of cotton in the well...

Thats just it Tony, I have ran Rayon and Cotton for over a month. I am not a fan of a super hot vape. I like it warm like a cigarette was, not high wattage super hot. I used drippers on unregulated Mods but they never been my go to vape, I always preferred the CE5's because the size of one on an Ego makes it perfect for on the go all day long. Now i am delving into RTA's and love them but like my Kayfun, I am using it on a Istick at 10 watts and it is perfect for me. I am sure that either cotton or rayon will last until the coil gunks up and needs replacing like CE5's do.

The square oring is a common culprit for leaking. Some find that going up a size to 12 x 1.5 is a good solution.

Just bought a second Tobeco clone (actually for my gf), and had a funny moment.
I just finished cleaning it, upon assembly something struck me as being diffrent.... then it hit me, There is no Sveomesto logo on it.

Gonna keep this one and slide the old one, on to my gf :D
Shhhhh! Don't put this in writing, it leaves evidence.
