My mind is ... where? Can someone help. I have bought all Tobecos so far. I've gotten something like 6 or 7 so far, for family and so on, and every one has been 100%.

Now, as a gamble, for a change, I wanted to get one of the big-boxed clones that was praised here as being better machined (even) than a Tobeco, these were the ones that came with the spares and red o-rings? Were those the EH Pros? And of the ones available on e-bay or otherwise at a good price stateside, which ones are the EHPro? How can you tell? What do their black ones look like? Are they the ones with silver drip tips and a silver #5? Thanks!

BTW a great under $80 combo has been the (Tobeco) KF V4 with an istick 30W. Had a hard time finding a black set, had to get the iStick in Wisconsin. Thirty four bucks and what is it 11% off with code Beefcake11.

I'm angry at myself for having missed out on the gold ones. They were "rose gold" they looked very very classy. Anybody seen any anywhere stateside?

Can you post a pic of them together? I will be using my KF4's
on my Cloupor mini when it arrives.
Here's a picture of mine, ricks.

Does anybody know if the Tobeco 4S kit has the wider opening (2.7mm I think the authentic is). I know there were earlier reports of some clone kits having the stock 2.4 opening. Thanks.

Not sure which mfg it's from, but vaportek sells the 4s kit with real peek insulator and true 2.7mm bore

Doesn't work, as in hit the fire button- then nothing happens? What does the screen display when firing? Have you verified the battery charge is up to the task?

Hello guys,

Thanks a lot!

My MVP doesn't show any thing when firing but that's exactly like you said - fire button but nothing happens

Ohm reading however clearly shows 1.5

Is there anything else that could help??

Thanks Kiwi. I am ordering from Canvape this week anyway and they carry the 4S kit by Tobeco. If I don't get confirmation I will order it and see if it's good. If not I will order from Vaportek. I am in Canada so shipping from the U.S. is often pricy and takes a couple weeks. Plus I am moving on Friday and would like it before I do the 12 hour drive:)

Try adjusting the 510 pin out a bit and see if it makes connection. Good luck!

Same thing on the VTR though....this is tricky stuff!?

You have a MVP and a VTR, both of which display ohms on a Kayfun V4 but neither fire it. And your MVP exhibits the same behaviour on another atomiser. How does your VTR behave with a different atomiser?

Do you have a working set up at the moment you can use to troubleshoot further?
Have you tried unscrewing the screw at the bottom of the kayfun a bit to see if that improves the contact?

Tricky indeed...

Thanks sos much for replying

The VTR and MVP are both fine with different atomisers

What do you mean by a working setup? I've filled the K4 and it looks all good but I doubt it will run on any atomizer

Do you mean completely unscrewing it or what?

Thanks

If your K4 does not work on either device, something is not working in the V4.

You said earlier that the MVP would not fire a different atty (short for atomiser) which made troubleshooting a bit more challenging :)

The screw at the bottom is adjustable for (hopefully) problems just like yours. Unscrew it a turn or so, put on MVP. If it fires, good; if not unscrew another turn or so. Keep going until it fires.
If you unscrew it far too much the screw will fall out in which case it is important not to lose the insulator that might fall out with it. Slow and steady...

@Vapires, Your descriptions are incredibly vague, so it's very hard to help you. What could "I filled the K4 and it looks all good" possibly mean? I don''t even know what your abbreviations mean to you, please spell everything out. How did you do the build, the coil(s), the wicking, what materials, dimensions, etc. ? Did you test the coil before adding the wick? You need to trouble-shoot it. i.e. break the system down into subsystems that you can separate, swap and and test in different contexts, e.g. test the power sources with other atomizers (which?), test the atomizer with other power sources, then describe what exactly you did and what conclusions you draw from each step. Do you have a voltmeter?

Thanks everyone for your responses

Wow that's a lot of information but I get your procedural thinking

I used my MVP to test the resistance......which yes, tells me that the coil itself is working so it's obviously just not wicking for some reasons

I'm going to try and build it again

Thank you
