Most if not all of the problems associated w/the infamous leaking #16 can be avoided.

If the factory #16 O-ring isn't lubed before the parts are reassembled after cleaning, there's a risk of the O-ring twisting in its groove due to the friction between the O-ring and the not-that-smooth surface it rides on. If the O-ring twists, it'll leak. The majority of the time this twisting won't ruin the O-ring, unless it's left twisted and the juice control is continued to be used. Instead if it leaks and the atty is immediately disassembled, the O-ring removed, inspected and if still good, lubed w/juice or VG and the atty reassembled, the leak will be fixed and no need for buying anything. At the most, a wrap of ribbon dental floss in the bottom of the O-ring groove will prevent any more leakage. Some use teflon tape, I find floss easier and very effective.

If I ever strip my juice control threads, I would just epoxy or silicon it together and fill it by taking the tank off. Just my 2 cents.

Actually, I'd just purchase another atty from that 9.95 place I got my spare from...
Yeah. I've got several duplicate tanks where I broke something and bought a whole new tank...

BTW... It seemed to take the heat fine, after about 15 mL ran thru it (un-vaped, partly disassembled to drip & fire over & over, thrn checked for anything fishy-looking in the tape) so I started vaping it about a half hour ago & it tastes perfect. Btw I'm running unflavored VG right now so I had a better shot at tasting anything odd from the tape. It's clean :)

I know most of y'all are laughing at me, heck I am too!! and I know this "fix" isn't for everyone...but if anybody ever has the problem I did, and doesn't wanna burn the cash to buy a new one immediately, it is a fairly good stop-gap. Don't get me wrong, I've gotten by fine with drippers & my Lemo, but I really did miss my Kayfun :)

Guyyyssss I have to post something. I'm the dummy who stripped out the threads on my juice control. I FIXED IT... teflon tape :) yep :) rated up to 500 degrees, and I figure no direct contact with juice or coil, so that oughta be sufficient. I'm gonna run it thru at least 10 ml at 15 watts first (i never took this tank over 13 honestly) and make sure it doesn't melt discolor etc before I vape it...will update!

Thanks for sharing Grendel... I'd looked, but hadn't been able to find anything except o-ring replacements. Guess I didn't look hard enough! Nice to know where to go for it :)
You're welcome. I needed a build deck section b/c mine came with oblong negative post holes. The company sent me a replacement and allowed me to keep the screwed up one so I found this place and bought the part i needed.

I know Lowes home improvement amd Home Depot have lots of O rings in all different sizes, does anyone know if they carry the 12 inch by 1.5 inch size?
Generally you will find S.A.E. (non metric) sizes in that type of store, some can interchange well, some not.

The #16 O ring at the above link says it's a 11 x 1.5 for an EH Pro , i suppose it would be OK but seems others recommend the 12 x 1.5

If you are getting leaks from #16, chances are it is sitting too deep in its groove. Buying over sized is a way of getting it to sit higher.
