Seems one of the deck screw holes isn't threaded all the way. I received 5 spare screws and tried all of them, but the only one I could get down far enough to grab my 28awg kanthal was the one that came one it. Since it's been reported they're not great quality, and since I don't need long screws for thicker wire, does anyone know where I can get higher quality screws that are shorter? Or am I gonna have to deal with a return with eciggity?
So the authentic, and spare parts kit, comes with two short and two long screws. Which does the Tobeco come with, four short or four long? If long, I would rather get the spare parts kit than deal with a return with eciggity (they want pictures/video) or have them have to send me another base unnecessarily. I don't need long screws.

I don't understand the wicking problems. Guess I'll find out on Tuesday. We'll be to where they are on Monday but will be too tired from driving this motorhome. I'm going to take mine apart and check everything and lube up all the Orings. I'm going to use the exact build as with my authentic which works great. 6 wrap spaced 26awg SS316L. When I put it back together I will go however many turns it takes for the doors to open as much as the authentic which I'm only using 1 ful turn and it is wicking great. Doors are open maybe 1mm or less. Hoping it works as well. I just wicked mine with KGD coil is 3mm cut it long enough to reach the bottom of the juice wells and fluffed it out before I stuffed it in. Will let you know. At least I have an authentic to judge it.

I built SJMY KF5 with contact coil kanthal 26awg 2.5ID 10wraps.
but, it's not good flavor... a little bit dry hit...
Please tell me better settings.
Much thinner wire, many fewer wraps.

I ran a drill bit through my juice holes to give them a good cleaning. since then my wicking issues are gone... must have been some burrs in there I couldn't see. might be a solution for you?

I'll definitely do that, maybe it's a good thing I had to wait a week to be able to get to mine finding out these things. Has anyone compared the Orings and screws from the authentic to the Tobeco. Thinking about ordering about 5 sets and replacing all the ones on the 2 Tobecos and then I will have one extra for all 3 of them. Did you just use the drill bit or did you actually drill it out. Was this on a black one or SS?

Is the picture right at originvape? If so the Tobeco comes with long.
Whipped out the Dremel. Also ordered the spare kit from originvape. Hopefully they fit and are better quality.

26g SS316L 3mm spaced coil with a Scottish Roll long enough to barely touch the bottom. Lovely results

Well. found out why my Tobeco black will not wick...there are NO JUICE CHANNELS on one side. Not to sure of the depth of the side that does. I loathe having to send stuff back.
I'm surprised how many of you that bought a Tobeco have problems. I bought 10 direct from them and only built 4 so far and they have been perfect. Well, the o-ring in the top cap that seals the chimney was pinched in 3 but after replacing them, I've had zero issues. I don't know if they even needed to be replaced but I did for peace of mind.

The 4 Tobecos I've built wick great with 2 full turns. I'm using 50/50 to 80/20 (vg/pg).

Hope you guys with issues get it sorted.

 Omg no juice channels. If you got it from Eciggity maybe they won't make you send it back after you tell them there's no juice channels on one side.

Here's a vid if you want to see the 510 pin & deck taken apart. It's the SJMY one from 3fvape.

i just ordered the sjmy after watching this particular vid. the general consensus is the sjmy is the closest 1:1, has a true 3.2mm airflow hole (under coil), all peek insulators and super nice machining. i hope i'm right. this will be my first kayfun, even if it is a clone.:)
