Managed to snap the center post where it threads into the positive post on my KFM3, somehow, so grabbed the SMJY K5 from 3fvape as soon as it popped up. So far I'm really enjoying it, forgotten how much I loved the kayfun vape! Really appreciate the improved AFC, build deck and capacity over the mini v3 too.

I can see how people might not like the airflow though. I quite like the looser draw, but it seems like there isn't that much range, I only really use the maximum and minimum. If we name the airflow by the dots, 1 being tightest, 4 being loosest, IMO it should be something more like:

1 - > 0.5 (much tighter)
2 - > 1.5 (tighter)
3 - > 3 (same)
4 - > 5 (looser)

Just checked my 'Vaping expenditure/cigarette savings' spread sheet and discovered I have 2K to spend!!!
After ending up with 3 different versions and multiples of some of those with the KF4 clones, I've decided to test my resolve and wait for the ultimate winner to emerge with the KF5. I see 3 different versions on 3fvape:
Liefeng $19.99
SIMY $24.99
SXK $24

and 3 from Fasttech with a new addition of the 'B' styled version at $16.72 !!
but not the tobeco so where is that available and any price info. ?

I recently got the squape x dream and the draw on its great imo. Restrictive lung kind of, more open than the k4. (never had a km3)

I look forward to the kayfun 5.
So, I'm still learning about all these different RTA's, I have KFL+, and KM3.
They're good, I just like a little more airy vape, nothing I can't get used to though.
Is the squape x dream what you consider airy??
ETA: Just found the squape thread. ;)

Still debating getting a KF5.

Airy? No... More open than a KFL for sure. If you want big open air flow you need a Griffin or aromamizer, those are airy. KFL is absolutely MTL, taifun gt (1) absolutely MTL, then squape Reloaded is more open, then KF4 with s kit is more open, then taifun gt2 (slotted air flow) is maybe a little more open (could be a tie)... I think you're getting the idea. Draw is hard to express in typed words, I think that's why some of us compare against other tanks.

But as an example (example no body shoot me here), the KFL is on 1 side of the spectrum, tight draw for MTL.
An aromamizer or Griffin (2 I have to compare against) are really wide open for direct to lung.. ie deep draw into lungs.

To me the squape x is in the middle, and I like that. I used to vape MTL and have a few genuine kayfun's, taifun, etc... I don't really enjoy the wide open draw with little to no restriction. It's fun to blow clouds, but not all day.. And to me all the air kills the flavor.

I hope the k5 is like the squape x draw on 3 dots, that way 4 dots would be a little more open when I want (if I want), or just right at 3 pips. <fingers crossed>

Thanks!! That will give me some things to check out.
No, I don't blow clouds, nor do I have any desire to. :)
I want single coil builds, 1.7 to 2.0 ohm.

After the initial couple of devices I started with (2012), I ended up using Kanger ProTanks, and carto tanks. I liked those, and just really didn't venture out of my comfort zone.

But, with the deeming regs, I've had to try some new (to me) attys.

I'd rebuilt coils for the ProTanks, and for a couple little drip attys, but never got into the more advanced top devices or builds.

I think I will want something in the middle.

Thank you very much for describing all the differences, I really appreciate the input, and that will give me an idea what direction to go.

My first order was from FT. They had an eta of 6/15 but didn't ship yet (changed to "ready to ship" yesterday). I ordered one from Angelcigs because they said they had 80+ in stock in USA but after I placed the order, they shipped from china. Assclowns. I ordered 10 direct from Tobeco 6/10 and they shipped via DHL yesterday.

Anyone got theirs yet?

Ordered from FT on 6/15. Now, as of 6/18 in Beijing EMS "passed through facility".

My last order took 3 days from that point to arrival in NY Customs, and delivered the next day, so hopefully by the end of the week.

Meh. I wanted to get a clone before buying an authentic but after listening to the snobs on the "authentic" threads, I decided to buy 12 clones instead of 2 authentics
That'll show em!!!

Not really but my K4 and KM3's are clones and work as well as the authentics. There are basic design flaws that held me back from buying authentics but I think most were addressed on the KF5. Even if I decide to get an authentic, I'll stick to this thread.

Lately most of the authentic or non-clone specific threads get closed due to drama :(
Very sad.

I never make an issue of authentic vs clone, we are all just vapers. But not everyone thinks of it like that I guess.

I ordered mine from focal on 6/8 with 6/15 eta. As of 6/18 no shipping info still order waiting to be filled.

I think someone mentioned they ordered one from 3f and they got it already... I'm still waiting too.

I got this one SJMY Kayfun V5 Kayfun 5 Style RTA 22mm 4ml Silver Rebuildable Atomizer
It came a few days ago :) I really like this K-F V5, it has a lot more air flow than a V4, witch is fine for me. The build quality is quite good :) It's a lot like the V3 just bigger & way better air flow, easier AFC adjustment
I'm using it in TC :) very solid resistance, no fluctuations at all :)
Big thumbs up for the V5 :)
