I, too, learn one heckuva lot from Spikey's video, and I appreciate the work she (and her helpers) put into it.
In my opinion, from what I've learned when dealing with rechargeable
batteries over the years, her information on battery charging is not completely accurate - but her information is not harmful in any way.
But it's not just Spikey, so I really shouldn't be saying "her instructions" since these instructions appear to be part of the culture of this forum. There are 200 posts on this forum repeating this info for every 1 post that contradicts it. It's part of the culture here.
But I also have to admit that this culture may have come from the experience Spikey and many others have with e-cig
batteries. My experience comes from high-end
batteries from places like Thomson or LaCrosee or Sony Eneloop batteries. If all these e-cig batteries are lower quality - and I'd think they are - then these e-cig batteries won't perform to the standards I'm used to. So while I may not totally agree with this site's culture around
rechargeable batteries in general, I have to pay attention to all the folks' experience with
e-cig batteries.
I didn't know much about e-cigs when I watched Spikey's video, but she mentioned several facts that I did know, and she repeated many MANY statements that people have made here. Her video saved me at least 10 hours of research - probably more.
In the end, I found Spikey's video to be 98% accurate to the best of my knowledge, and 500% helpful.
Thanks, Spikey!
