thanks stevo, thot I was gonna start halucinating there for a bit...........yes, her vid is quit thorough. but can be "intimidating" for someone that is scared to give up their tobbacco god..........but, she was just an example that I have run across, made the fatal mistake of refering to it by name...........live and learn

MREXE;
The thing is, that we have people from all walks of life, and this Forum is world wide. You must be very careful how you transfer your thoughts to the Forum. If you closely read your OP, it can be considered on the border line of bashing the video, instead of pointing out an issue. People take wording differently, and a statement to one, may be taken as an insult to another.

Just my 2 cents.

Personally, I learned quite a bit to be honest. Yes, it is very overwhelming but I think that is in part due to the length of the video and the amount of information that is included. The problem that we don't want newbies doing is spending $60-70 for a unit plus liquids and then it doesn't work the way they thought and they start blasting the product in a negative way...we have enough of that coming from the Federales.

MREXE, you DO make some excellent points and I don't think that was the issue, however...it was the way you responded. You say you were tactful...how are you tactful when you say "duh, dont how to negotiate this forum?". For someone that does not know you, that statement appears to be an insult when simple information was asked for and if you could repost the information asked for. Thank you for that, I didn't know about this. Also, you gave off an attitude, this turned people off right away and made you out to be the bad guy, which I don't think you are. I think you are passionate about getting the right information out to people, in particular newbies, so they can make an educated purchase, which is fine. Also, consistent usage of caps in a written forum appears that you are yelling and not stating facts.

After looking at it again, I actually didn't have a problem with the opening, except that I would have sent Spikey a PM to discuss it privately first and then state the facts but that is my way of handling incorrect information and not yours...you just do things differently than me...I have no problem with that.

I, too, learn one heckuva lot from Spikey's video, and I appreciate the work she (and her helpers) put into it.

In my opinion, from what I've learned when dealing with rechargeable batteries over the years, her information on battery charging is not completely accurate - but her information is not harmful in any way.

But it's not just Spikey, so I really shouldn't be saying "her instructions" since these instructions appear to be part of the culture of this forum. There are 200 posts on this forum repeating this info for every 1 post that contradicts it. It's part of the culture here.

But I also have to admit that this culture may have come from the experience Spikey and many others have with e-cig batteries. My experience comes from high-end batteries from places like Thomson or LaCrosee or Sony Eneloop batteries. If all these e-cig batteries are lower quality - and I'd think they are - then these e-cig batteries won't perform to the standards I'm used to. So while I may not totally agree with this site's culture around rechargeable batteries in general, I have to pay attention to all the folks' experience with e-cig batteries.

I didn't know much about e-cigs when I watched Spikey's video, but she mentioned several facts that I did know, and she repeated many MANY statements that people have made here. Her video saved me at least 10 hours of research - probably more.

In the end, I found Spikey's video to be 98% accurate to the best of my knowledge, and 500% helpful.

Thanks, Spikey!
