Or the little sample packs they used to give away with 4 cigs in them??
Some of them even had TEN and that was a big deal!!!

My mom never approved of my smoking, but she would go shopping downtown and come home with bags full of them for me... Ha!!
She passed away in 2008, but I know she would be happy to see me on e-cigs now...
Yea I have a little funny story about those. My father was in the service and when he got out in 1968, he brought home some of them survival packs, you know it had the pork and beans, chewing gum, toilet paper, stuff like that. Well there was one of them 4 cigarette packs of Salem in there and my brother and I smoked them in 1989. That was some dry tobacco:laugh:

I just wanted to say one last thing... I have had 3 1/2 packs of cigs in one of my drawers from the last carton I bought before I ordered my starter kit and supplies... thinking that I might need them for "emergencies".

It's been over a year now and that day hasn't come!!! :thumb: Of course I'm sure they aren't quite as stale as the ones your Dad had saved... LOL!!

Yea probably not that stale. LOL I commend you for your will power. That would have been hard for me when I quit. I couldnt have anything around me for a long time. Its still hard on occassion, but I much prefer to Vape!!

My Mother told me how she used to get .02$ or two pennies back in the wrapper on a pack of smokes when they were .23$ a pack. You put your quarter in the machine and pulled the lever and the pack came with change inside it!

Wow thats funny. Man 23cents a pack. Its hard to even imagine the days when tobacco wasnt taxed to the gills.

I don't know if will power has anything to do with it... I was pretty much done with tobacco by the end of the first day!! I guess vaping was just a natural transition for me, like I mentioned earlier, I never really did like the taste of tobacco... it was always more of a nervous habit for me...

My brain still sends signals to light up a cigarette, but I keep my PV's in a little ashtray I use as a rest for them, so I just reach for it there instead of reaching for a pack. :2cool:

Oh, and BTW... they were 35cents in the machines and .40 in the stores when I first started playing around with them... but were up to 60cents when I was a teenager and really started smoking...
