I'm somewhat new to vaping - started with Greensmoke and moved to the KR808D-1 and now have the Riva 1300 mah, Joye eGo (650 mah) and the Joye passthrough. Love them.

I'm much like many of the other newbies in that the information on this Forum is overwhelming. I vape a ton and love it. I have become a fan of Backwoods Brew and their ejuices. They are my main supplier of juice. I use cartomizers that I can refill because I just didn't think I could maintain an atty - cleaning, etc. But, now I am thinking that refilling a cartridge, without having to worry about overfilling, etc. might be the way to go. Here are my questions:

1. How long does an atty last without regular maintenance?
2. What are the maintenance guidelines for an atty?
3. Assuming I go the atty/cartridge route (and I have them - came with my starter kits) - I'm assuming I can just fill the cartridge with juice without worrying about having a syringe and a bunch of other crap in my purse?
4. The attys are not indestructible - I get that - what about cartridges?
5. Cartomizers - are they really much easier than atty/cartridge method?

Was very excited about about the eGo-T and then got excited when I read about ProVari. I like that I can use the 510 carto / atty with all of my devices.

Never tried it, I guess a couple of months before it gets too clogged or maybe longer if you stick to stock cartridges. They're not hard to clean, I'm still using one that's 6 months with cleaning.

Here's a popular one by HighPing

yep, just drop liquid into the cartridge.

>4. The attys are not indestructible - I get that - what about cartridges?
They're plastic. As long as you don't bite them and clean them, they last forever. More likely,
though, they'll end up manky and you'll want to replace them cos they're cheap.

>5. Cartomizers - are they really much easier than atty/cartridge method?
Not if you want to refill them and they do cost more. But they do hold more juice. I don't like them cos they heat up and burn my lips, but that's just one brand I've tried.

Before you go Ego (can't believe I said that), there are many 510 enthusiasts here I know, so to prop up the 901 flag, I would urge you first to try one of the cheapest dse901 kits you can find, just for a taste comparison and vapor smoothness. If you don't like autos, there are also manual kits out there..

I use both...I have about 6 workign attys laying around...and I have one going on its 4th month (volcano magma atty 2.4 ohms 510 connection)

I actually prefer using the boge 2.0 cartomizers as they seem to hit the sweet spot for me as I vape 100% VG and don't really need 1.5 LR to get tons of vapor...on my 5 volt passthough I use 3.0 or 3.2 cartomizers and don't put my attys on at 5 volt as that is just more likely to eat up the atty in my opinion. If I am at home and testing out juices or just moving from one juice to another I use an atty/ drip tip combo and just sit around dripping...but for the road or while working boge 2.0 cartomizers get the job done. I much prefer atty/drip tip to carts though...it just keeps the juice fresh and I end up removing the carts and dripping half the time I use carts anyway to keep that fresh juice sensation.
