I've been enjoying Bauway 2.5 attys for a while now.
So I pulled out a new one last night and OMG what is that flavor??
It's not primer.. not dry.. like smoking a steel rod is what it is.
I've washed it..dripped normal..flooded it.. it wont go away.
I use a varivolt PV with these at 4.6V. I've tryed it down to 3.5V. It just wont go away.
Is there a way to fix it?
Or is it just a bad atty?

P.S these have been awesome attys!! this is the first time I've had a problem with them.

Seems like a bad apple in the bunch. Fortunately they've been pretty rare for me.
In a last ditch attempt to rescue one (hey, the one I'm using now) I let it soak in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for a day or so, agitating the container every so often, then blew it out with my shop compressor. Now, in blowing it out I accidentally blew out the wick under the bridge but was able to tuck it back in with a pin (I don't de-bridge/de-wick or mod any of my atties anymore). Been on this particular one well over a month now (occasional use).
