I have quite a few sample size juices steeping & from doing some research I thought dripping would be the best way to taste them. I have minimal experience with dripping. I have been dripping with 2 ego type B cylinders in which I have been washing out and reusing, needless to say they are getting pretty worn out. I would like to try something new but the world of atomizers is pretty confusing when your inexperienced. I will be using standard ego batteries and I have 2 ego twists. I wanna stay away from rebuildables, as I have so little experience. I was thinking either a 510 or a 306 atomizer, but I have some questions. Do I want LR or SR? I was told with ego batteries I don't wanna use anything higher than 2.5 ohms, right? What's the difference between a bridgeless atty vs an atty that is not bridgeless? I know with a 306 I need a 306 drip tip, right? With a 510 do I need a drip shield? Where would you suggest I order from? I have so many questions, lol. I thought about ordering from Avid Vaper, they are a running special: 2 Cisco LR attys and 1 306 drip tip for $19.99, but as you can see I need some advice from someone with atomizer experience. I would appreciate any advice I can get, thanks.

Your standard eGo batteries are 3.3 volts if they are made by Joye. If I were using those with an atomizer I would buy a couple at 1.8 to 2.0 ohms. If I had Twist batteries, I would use them with around 2.0 to 2.6 ohm atomizers. I would chose the Twists first because of the added versatility of the VV feature. If you feel they would just complicate things, there is nothing at all wrong with going with the standard batts.

I use atties for taste testing juice too. I buy ordinary bridged atties for about $4 a piece and have never had an issue with them. All your batteries are 510 threaded, so both 510 and 306 will fit.

Edit: You will not need a drip shield if you are only going to be vaping for a little while to see what the juice is like.

For much better information than I can give you, here is a ECF thread on the topic.

I've never tried a bridgeless attie. It just doesn't seem to me like something that would help me in taste testing juice. I am not interested in getting the ultimate flavor from the juice as I will be using cartos and Vivi Novas to vape them later. Hope this helps a bit and keep asking questions. It's the best way to learn :thumb:

Bridge is a inverted u-shaped piece of mesh that is used for cartridges. If you are going to do direct tripping, it's not really needed. But it can help to prevent back splashes at high temps, and possibly help hold 1 or 2 more drops in the atty.

Thank you whyanon for the clarity on the bridge/bridgeless issue. My next question is what's the difference between a 306 and 510 atty?
