Thanks for all the concern/help. I will write a longer post later but for now I think I finally made it work. Not that I changed anything drastically, but it seems to work.

Thank you.... I tried to get some really nice ones in, but the free program I used to reduce the file size wouldn't except starting files over 6mp. I'm going to try to add a few at the end of my km3 vape video
Just curious if anyone knew any rumors about a Kayfun v5?- Seem to recall them saying something after their April fools joke, that although the wooden Kayfun was obviously a joke, they did actually have something in the pipeline...?- Cant remember!
Was just thinking that for a few countries in the EU they'll need to release something pretty sharpish if it's going to be over 2ml (which would make sense seeing as the mini is now their 'compliant' tank)- with the 1 year grandfather date to May 2017- though perhaps doesn't make sense at all for a Russian/ German company to plan to release anything which isn't going to be compliant with the TPD!?
(Edit: sorry, should just clarify for the non EU folks- broadly speaking, if a non-notified and non-compliant product is released before 20th May 2016, stores have until May 2017 to sell it before it has to be removed from sale)
Just hope they dont do a Stattqualm on us and alienate their loyal MTL/ single coil market!

Can't help you with rumours but SM can produce a 22 mm platform that can be available in short version (2 ml) and a tall version (~5 ml), available for other than EU markets.

It has been thought SM is working on the next atomizer. Heard this long ago. Me personally, I don't get worked up about it. They've teased us plenty of times in the past and it seems it takes forever to release it. As far as I'm concerned, it happens when it happens.

Well Jim Turf, you liked my comment but I was hoping you ran into this same situation. No?
I have 3 units, so yes I have seen this issue. It is not a large gap by any means, and they are each a little different.
But, If the issue did bother me, and if I were going to marry the tank to the mod. The positive pin/screw could be lightly sanded/filed down to reduce the visible gap.
I would caution anyone that may be considering this action though. If you remove too much, you may have a connectivity issue.
Here is a pic of todays carry... Not much of a gap, and not modified.
