Ok so I get an 801 last week with a few extra attys and an auto battery and a manual battery. I start using it and it works fine for a few days then the switch on the manual starts acting up so i get it replaced with a second auto batt. after about 3 hours the switch sticks and destroys the atty, as well as melting the cart. Is there anyway to unstick the stuck switch?

Also, I have noticed that once or twice a day the polyfil will stick to the bridge of the atty has anyone had this happen or know and remedies?

Thanks,
VN

This has happened with two 901 batteries less than a month old ... I didn't realise it was a switch fault ... all I know is that as soon as I connected battery to atomiser it started crackling ... I took the cart out and saw the atomiser glowing bright red ... now because I have also had problems with the filler sticking to the atomiser I'm worried about the risk of it catching fire. I now disconnect whenever I'm not actually using it but I really think this is hazardous and obviously not a one-off.

Get rid of the polyfil, and switch to lipton pyramid teabags, or from a pet store, get Fluval. it is normally for fish tanks. both work much better.

That won't solve the real problem of his auto bat sticking in the on position and a) killing his battery, and b) killing his atomizer.

OP, seriously, get new manual batteries and stick with those. You were unlucky to receive one that had some problems. I have had 0 problems out of the two I received with my starter kit, and they are far superior to auto bats.

 That was why i only quoted his part of saying that the polyfill sticks to the atty 1-2 times a day... I was not talking about the part he stated about the battery sticking on, that was why I did not quote it. I doubt that he has his battery sticking on 1-2 times everyday, so I was trying to help him with his day in, day out issue, not the battery sticking on issue.
