I've been looking all over where to post this question and I've reached a dead end.

I just want to find out how to post an avatar.
I've been playing around shrinking pictures yesterday and trying to post them, but every attempt get rejected.

The system is complaining that the pic is too large or the wrong format.

Can anyone help?

go to user cp, i think it is the 2nd box it will say edit avatar. Add the pic ya want and you should be good.

No, that's what I've been doing and the format gets rejected.
I've even shrunk the picture in size, but it still doesn't want to accept it.

What size is the pic after shrinking and what file extension?

Is the picture you're using a jpeg? It should have a file extension .jpg

It may be a bitmap (.bmp) which are much larger. If it is a bitmap you could try "save as" and select .jpg for the file type.

Oh I don't know what it is PAV, as you can see I eventually got it right. It must be a miracle.
