So I finally broke down and ordered a Reo Grand :) I've read in the forums the best battery to get is AW IMR 18650 I see them on your site @ 1600 mah. I also see there more 18650's @ 2200 2600 and 3100 mah but they say protected instead of IMR. I'm also going to need a charger. I'd prefer to have a charger that can charge at least 2 batteries, hopefully one that I can throw the batteries in and forget about (auto shut off). That being said cost is a factor as after exchange and shipping to Canada It fell just shy of $200 for the Reo/atty's. Any advice on the charger and Batteries are appreciated. I'm kinda leaning towards getting the AW IMR 18650 1600 mah as they are cheaper and 1600 mah is still way better than the Ego's I have been using. But it would be interesting to hear any comments before I decide.

Hi Nergost, I do not recommend putting batteries in a charger and forgetting about them. If you are looking for a good, lower cost charger, I recommend the TR-001 or WF-139. Both are solid and relliable chargers. The AW IMR 18650 is the best battery for the Grand. I use them in my Grand and get solid performance from them.

Congrats on the REO purchase. I do use the cheapo TR001 charger with the IMRs 18650's from Randy, and they charge just great. I don't leave them though. I put the charger in a old coffee can *Chock full of Nuts shout out*, while they are charging, I am saving up my nickles for a Pila but in the mean time the TR001 does the job. Plus I get all excited when I get a package from Randy, his packaging..is perfect, that tape on the plastic bag is like pulling the tape off a gift.

I think the world should know of your generosity and all-around awesomeness, so...

I placed an order with RTD last Tuesday, I think, for a number of batteries and chargers to be sent with the Marine PIF here on the forum. I mentioned what the order was for and asked that they be packed for overseas travel. I received a quick reply asking if I had any specific requests for packaging and I deferred to Randy's expertise.

I just received a message from asnider who coordinates the PIF that the package arrived and was so well-packed that they were just going to include the RTD box in their larger box. In addition, Randy included a number of extra items as a donation from him.

To quote the message I received, "WOW, your package arrived today and it is very well packed. I am gonna put the
whole box inside our larger box for the trip overseas." and "Thanks again and would you please let RTD that we appreciate their donation too?"

I just wanted to thank you so very much. I have always been impressed with you and your company when placing orders for myself and am now doubly so. I know the troops will appreciate everything as do I!
