I just got my 1st set of AW batts and am confused. I have a trustfire charger and I put a pair of aw IMR 16340 batts on to charge. The light turned green on the charger. I take the batts off, put them in my mod, get 2 puffs and the batts quit? Tried charging the batts again and got the same result. What am I doing wrong? My trustfire batts charge fine and power my mod great. Is there a trick I need to know or are my batts bad?

My (Ultrafire) charger lists what it will charge on the back: 14500, 17500, 18500, 17670, and 18650. No 16340 :(
Does your trustfire have a list on back?

Edit: I just checked at overready. They sell an adapter you can use to charge the 16340 here.

I have the T-oo1 and it charges the ultrafire 16340"s?

Are the ultrafire batts IMR? Maybe that's the problem.

edit - have you got something else you can try the aw's in? I think IMR's tend
to be a little off in size, maybe they are not making good contact in your mod.

I'll try em later in my lil chuck:( I'm sure they're making contact though. The light on my charger is red when first put them in, then shortly after the light turns green. Put the batts in my joker and get 2 puffs and nothing:( I'm at work right now:blush: I'm getting a case of the ..... I bought them special for the varivolt. Could the varivolt be doing something?

Oh, and just to eliminate the obvious/easy stuff 1st, clean the contacts on the atty and the mod. Sometimes juice/gunk can act like a short. It won't hurt to clean em anyway. Same is true for the atty... switch it with a spare in case it is shorted too. These situations can trip protection circuits. You press the button, and "boink", protection kicks in.

Probably not it......however sometimes it's best to eliminate the easy stuff 1st. Kinda like the "Is is plugged in?" thing. lol. Don't want to offend, but thought I'd mention it.
