MadVapes don't carry AW's, as far as the price that's about what everyone else is charging. Your charger will work, a better one is the Ultrafire WF 188, but everyone seems to be out of them right now. The best is the Pila, but there $45, all depends on what your needs are. The Ultrafire WF 188 and Pila are smart chargers, which means it stops charging when the batts hit optimum charge.

Yes, those are high drain batteries. Your TR-001 should work just fine, I charge 14500s on mine. Best place as in best price? I am not 100% on that one.

Thank you. And yes I was interested in the best "price" place to buy them. Do these AW's really out perform regular "blue" IMR 14500 high drain batteries?

I do not see any AW high drain 14500 batteries on the madvapes site. I don't actually see any high drain batteries on their site.

Did I miss them??

No, actually, Baltic was right, I forgot they don't carry the AW's, and now I can't rememebr who it was I saw who had them at a good price, sold in packs of 2. I'm going to have to go through my bookmarks.

Super T is out of stock, unfortunately, but they have excellent prices. It is where I buy all of my batteries from.

Check this thread out, it might help answer your question on the difference of batteries. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ask-veterans/217337-high-drain-battery.html

Edit: If this didn't quite answer the question, just do a search for 'Difference of batteries aw imr', or something like that. There are lots of threads with excellent information in them, as I do not feel that I am personally qualified to give an appropriate explanation.

Three questions:

1. Are the AW IMR 14500 batteries "high drain" batteries? I assume these are the ones I am talking about:

AW 14500 IMR Rechargeable Battery - Batteries & Chargers - OVEREADY Flashlights/Torches - Control The Dark

2. Do they need a special charger, or will the Trustfire TR-001 charger charge these batteries?

3. Where is the best place to buy this type of battery?

Thank you

1. Yes IMR batteries are high drain batteries.

2. No special charger required as long as it has overcharge protection which the TR-001 does. You'll want to be more careful about over and undercharging them since they don't have protection circuits. Otherwise they are used in the same manner as Li-Ion and considered to be safer chemistry.

3. rtdvapor, lighthound and supert carry them. Just compare price between them, probably not a whole lot of difference between them.

I just received 14500s from madvapes.. NOT HAPPY!
There was spelling errors on them. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't that mean they're knock-offs?

No. It means that the Chinese fellow or lady who typed the template for the label isn't fluent writing English. I misspell things all the time here on ECF and none of my posts are counterfeit as far as I can tell.

Which ones did you order? TrustFire, Ultrafire, or...? I got some TrustFire blue jackets and they seem fine. Haven't used them mind you because I never ended up buying the mod I was planning to use them in, but they charged fine.

I just got some ultrafire 14500s from madvapes also and while I haven't noticed any misspelling I do notice that they are longer than my other ultrafire 14500s and don't want to fit into my devices very well. Also one of them is brown around the top and bottom where the others are white, I'm guessing it's burnt or something, I've only used it once and am not going to use it again. I just ordered some aw imr high drain batts from cloudsofvapor.com for $8 each with $3 shipping. I'm hoping they will solve the batt problems I've been having with my vv bottom feeder. Also I just got in some new 901 attys from vaporkings and they don't want to work with my batts.. on both my reg 3.7 box mod and my vv bottom feeder the batts cut off but when I put a boge carto on they work again. I'm very frustrated cause I really want these 901s to work because they are the best vape I've had since I started a year ago!

I just looked on the superT site... I coulda got them for $6.89 each with $1.35 shipping :glare: Oh well, that's right up there where my luck has been today!
