18500 Is 10mm longer,might be the ticket.
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along.
1 mm diff between 18490 and 18500.
18mm in diameter
49mm in length or 50mm in length
The last "O" designates a round battery shape.
Unable to find AW brand, I was forced to use the Efest 18500. I think Brillpower(sp) also has a decent 18500.
Check the Mooch charts.

Cheers
I

At the risk of being shot down in a blaze of righteous indignation.....
I've been using TrustFire IMR 18500 1300mAh (realistically around 1000mAh) nipple top batteries for the last 4 years in my Provaris. They have been performing as well as AW batteries.
They are freely available at fast tech

Cue the 'fire' comments....

The least safe battery in the most safe mod. I guess that works. Lots of vent holes on that device?

The AW battery plant in China was destroyed a couple of years ago by a flood. I don't think anyone knows the future status of AW, but any AW batteries that you may find online or in a B&M are at least 2 years old or a counterfeit. I do know that the AW batteries shown to be in stock at Ali Baba (China) are confirmed counterfeits.

As much as I hate to say it, your best bet for a 18490/18500 size battery would be the button top purple Efests. And since it is for a Provari, make sure you get the buttontop model. The better manufacturers of batteries (Lg, Samsung, Sony/Murata) do not make that size of battery.

@ppeeble, I'll be the first to say it: "Never trust a battery that has fire in its name".

I've had one battery explode in the 7 years that I have been vaping, and it was a Trustfire.

Actually a Provari will vent through the switch as well as the bottom cap. So they *are* vented at both ends of the battery.

Of all ICR batteries, Trustfire cells are the best, and ANY battery will vent if you do what Bad did to make his blow up. (in a pants pocket without the ability to lock the switch)

But lets face it, all smaller batteries are going to become harder to find. Everything these days uses 18650 or bigger.

I can ony relate my personal experience which is - i have never had a problem with a TrustFire battery in any regulated mod. They work (cool) and charge (cool) fine giving a reliable 1000mAh of power.. Perhaps the fact that the way i vape means i never draw more than 6-7 Amps has a bearing on that. Perhaps not.
I wonder where Efest get their 18500 nipple top batteries from. TrustFire ?

Most likely from one of the many Chinese battery manufacturers. According to Battery Mooch, there are some that actually make a decent battery. Most of them do not.

I believe that AW made most of their red IMR batteries (all sizes), but they also re-wrapped other manufacturers' batteries, too. Their last and best 18650 IMR battery was probably a re-wrapped LG HG2.

    I did not know that!!
fasttech has them for $6.50 for two. Not a bad price if you don't mind the wait.

Fastech also notes that they test out at 1100 mAh, and 15c discharge rate.
So it should be a solid 10A CDR class battery
