AW IMR battery question

I figure this is the best place to ask this since a quick search didn't bring up anything.

I have a pair of relatively new AW IMR 18650 batteries, but the plastic wrap on one seems to have cracked towards the negative end. Should I be worried and stop using it or should I just put some electrical tape on it and keep using it?

I don't recall where I've read this but any flaw like that and I throw it out. I've had cracks, peels and also darkened (burned?) areas - no use taking a risk of something inside being compromised.
