Awful taste after dry burning kanger t3 & protank

I need some advice on what to do

i have been using kanger t3s for months and the pro tank for a few weeks. I clean the heads with warm water and dry burning. The problem is , every single time I dry burn ( until the coils glow red ) replace flavor wicks and refill I get this awful burnt flavor taste like ash... Is disgusting... This usually lasts about half a tank of vaping until it goes away.

Is this normal when dry burning? What am I doing wrong ?

Try using a new wick after dry burning. If the taste goes away then it's the wick that's not getting properly cleaned.

Are you rinsing the coil again after dry burning?

You need to blow off the ash or Rinse once more and dry.
I never get a burnt taste from Dry burning.

Also - just because the coil glows, does not mean you have the wick clean. Wick can be burnt off back to White. If not White, not clean.

You do know it is silicone, right? the Back of a sewing needle will wipe any crud off the gasket. A lighter(bic) can be used to burn off the flavor wicks - HOLD Wick with Tweezers!!.

All of the above or the silica used is just not good quality and instead of burning off the crud, its just burning the wick. Good slica can take a lot of heat from a blue flame torching, and if it doesnt, dont use it.

Doesn't feel like silicon to me, it's more like rubber.

You can cut off the tip of the rubber with nail clippers.

guess he didn't read the part "under the wick and coil"

he's thinking the silicone piece on the bottom of the center pole attachment

As said before you have to rinse and dry after dry burning.

get you some new heads. they are cheap enough.

I have not been rinsing after dryburning, i only blow into the coil as far as i can a few times to blow off some of the stuff left on there... ill try rinsing under the faucet next time i dry burn.
