So, I have been going to this same B&M store in my area, and I can't complain about their juices, because I love a lot of the flavors they make, and I buy all of my concentrates and my nicotine from them, so they do have their strong points. My problem is the fact that they're selling clones as authentic. When I say this, I mean they really try to get people. Selling AR mech mod clones that you get online for $10 they're selling for $80 and claiming they're authentic, when you can't get a new authentic AR mod online for less than $100 ANYWHERE. They sell clone RDA's as authentic as well. I know that this is happening because I've done a lot of research finding differences between clones and authentic, and am pretty good at telling the difference. I had been looking to get a box for a while, and saw the new tuglyfe clone online with the tugboat RDA for like $35, so decided to buy it. A week or so after mine arrived in the mail, I went to the shop to check out some flavor concentrates and saw that they had gotten the same tuglyfe mod that I had. I figured I'd check out the authentic since mine was a clone, and wanted to see the differences. Just looking at it, it looked exactly like my clone. I opened the box to look at the inside, and it was EXACTLY the same. Hot glue holding the wires in there. The mosfet chip was the same. The sled was the same. The button was the same. It was the EXACT same thing I ordered. They were selling that box for $100 and the RDA for $50. They were selling clones for $150, and I bought mine for $35...... They even went as far as to sell some of their "authentics" for less than I could find them anywhere online. What should I do? I know for a fact that they aren't authentics, and I think it's BS that a company is going to sell things to people knowing that they aren't what the people are expecting. Not only that, but EVERYTHING they have is extremely over priced. I was looking into getting a new sub ohm tank, and figured a Kanger Subtank Mini was my best bet for the money while researching online. I wanted to give the B&M the business because it's a local business, and I like to support them as often as possible, which is why I still buy my concentrates there still. Well, long story short, the subtank I could buy online for $20 was being sold there for $60!?!?!?! It's just crazy to think that a local business like that could be so shady when it comes to prices and when it comes to selling things that aren't what they are making them seem. I just don't know what I should do. Should I just let them do it and let people figure it out on their own? Should I say something? I've never had to deal with this before, and honestly, I think it's wrong that they're doing this to people...... Help me out here, guys lol

Seller wants as much as possible.
Buyer wants as cheap as possible.
Commerce occurrs somewhere between..
I understand that, and I'm fine with them selling whatever they want for whatever price. I don't have to buy my stuff there if it's too overpriced for me. What I don't like is the selling of clones as authentic. If you want to sell clones, then sell them, but TELL people they're clones. Don't let people think its one thing when it's another. It's shady, and it's wrong, and I'm pretty sure its illegal. I can't imagine that it's okay for a store to falsely advertise their products......

I agree, it is wrong and if they are doing it knowingly then shame on them for doing so. They will be shooting themselves in the foot with shady business practices. Perhaps maybe speaking to the owner about it? At least that way they will know that if someone is not fooled, other aren't either. However perhaps they are unaware and should still be informed.

It takes a little work to find authentics. Makes me sad too. I do a lot of looking on line so I can learn what the packaging should look like, etc and then I look at the actual pricing. If it's too far off, it's probably a clone. That's been my experience so far. I collect G-Shock watches too and so the cloning thing is not a new factor for me.

Please say you're not still trusting these scumbags as a source for the jooces and DIY ingredients that your inhaling?

I do still go there for my concentrates and nicotine. I got to know someone who works there, and have had conversations with him outside of the store about where their concentrates and nicotine come from, and he has informed me that they are ordered online in bulk from a reputable source, and are being re-sold in smaller quantities as they are, so I know that they are perfectly fine. I was extremely iffy about them once I found out about the way they did business, and didn't purchase anything until I knew further about their juices and stuff. I'm just buying in small quantities from them until I can find the juices I like the most and can buy them online from the same place they buy them, but in bulk for myself for cheaper prices and cut out the middle man

Cut out the middle man entirely and diy for a dollar a bottle. The startup cost is high but so are the savings.

To be fair, I have found a lot of clones that are identical to the authentic. Some manufacturers even make and sell their own clones or cheaper version of the original. Look at outlet malls for example, most of the name brand products in outlet malls are cheaper versions authorized by the Brand to be manufactured for resale at a lower price. Not saying that is what is going on at your B&M, but you never know.

Wall of text I cannot filter.
If you know they are Lying thieves.............Find another B&M.

Clones are made to reduce cost to the end buyer, not for some jerk to use as a tool to push counterfeits materials for a high profit.

*That said, most Clones I purchase come in plain white or black boxes - evident copies.
Some more prominent Clones offer almost identical packaging, False labeling and even scratch off authentification<<<<<<<<<<< Market Counterfeits.:glare: Fortunately most are Chinese copies of Chinese product.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
The selling clones as authentic is my biggest gripe with many of the B&M's i have been to , i'm not talking about just mods either , i'm talking about replacement coil heads as well .

I know of a few places that were taking well over $200.00 for what the customer thought was an original Hana mod but they definitely were not authentic Hana mods .

Misrepresenting a product, if that is happening, is not commerce, it's fraud.

I use rda's exclusively and they all come from fasttech. The annoying thing about all of them is the engraving. I don't like it for esthetic reasons and I don't like the pretending. The phoney engraving might create the temptation for a shop to misrepresent a product. I wish the clone makers would stop cloning the graphics. That alone would help the industry a lot.

I understand drippers well enough now that I could design one exactly to my preferences and it would have elements of existing rda's but still not be an exact copy of anything. I could even make it. I have a good hobby lathe and the tooling. But making one would be a very tedious process when I can get something that's more than adequate for 8 bucks. Mass production with computer controled machines brings the cost down a lot.

I once bought a clone Subtank mini from a B&M, paid $40 dollars. I got home messaged him on facebook and he was shocked that he got a clone, he ended up selling it at cost but let the buyer know that it wasn't authentic. B&M selling clones and claiming they're authentic is not right and will never see my business. Although B&M stores will receive clones every now and then without knowing. I'm pretty sure they use Fasttech.

Total slime bags and I would never give them my business.

A B&M will absolutely inadvertantly buy clone coils, batteries and a few other items over time. That is inevitable when buying in bulk from Chinese companies. But to blatantly sell a cheap clone as authentic is a ......... move no matter how you look at it.

Why are you singling out one Chinese RETAILER almost as responsible for their deception?
Fasttech
GearBest
Focalecig
Chinabuy
and Dozens of other China Resellers offer decent product direct to Retail customers.

Lay Blame Squarely - Some people are just thieves. :glare:

Fasttech in not a Manufacturer, but a Supplier that must purchase through manufacturer reps. and supply chains just like any other business. Perhaps they do a better job.
