I forgot to mention. I'm totally with you on the atty's.

They suck! I know some people love them, but they are only good when you first get them. Idk what it is, but my atomizers taste terrible. I think the wick is burnt, and no matter how hard I try I can't get it out. It's like fused into the coil in ALL of my atty's.

I'm a huge fan of CE2's. Just rinse them out and dry burn.

Clearomizers are my favorite though. Sadly they don't sell them at liberty-flights so I picked up the G4 carts. I can't wait to try them.

I sure hope I like them better! I sure like the idea of not having to mess with attys and carts.

A 50/50 blend should work fine in a normal carto (like a boge 2 ohm). I vape up to 0PG in them, no issue, just top them off periodically to keep them wet. (If you're lazy like me, just leave the rubber mouth tip out of the boge, makes for a faster top-off; fill with the carto held at an angle, rotate to a new spot when the liquid just reaches the center tube, and you should rarely have floods/juice-in-mouth)

If you would like a pack of CE2 510 cartos for backup, an older revision (from last Nov), you're welcome to them. Just PM your addy. (I'm an 808 person, got them during a brief foray into Riva 510 land).

That would be awesome!! Thank you so much! PM on the way!

Definitely get some backups!! I'm learning the hard way!!

@Mylose64...I'm the same way! I prefer vaping over smoking, but cannot justify the price of spending more on vaping disposables than smoking.

@Thank You...I ordered several bottles of 50/50 PG/VG. Mostly sweet, and dark juices. Now I know better, but I feel like I need to use these juices up...or maybe I'll pay them forward...do the clearomizers handle dark sweet juice better?

if i were you .. i'd stay away from the clearo's.... the biggest complaint is the plastic cracks very easily...

i still with the boge cart's.. (1.5-2.5) w/ drip tip on my ego battery

What works for YOU is what counts. Our opinions are just that... personal opinions. That said, the atty should last you more than two weeks. And also, what ever is going wrong with your atty, is probably going to go wrong with your cartos. However, since cartos are cheap, people just throw them out and start over and don't notice the problem. "Oh, I only got two weeks out of this carto...meh, cartos aren't supposed to last as long anyway, <toss>". It can help, but is not essential, for you to solve the problem. Or just switch to cartos.

Interesting...so now I need to start using juice that isn't sweet and dark, right? That should help me make them last longer! Hopefully!

@Thank You...too late...they're already on the way! I'll use them up and see what I think, but hopefully just figuring out my juice will help anyway!

I have to agree with the boge cartos. For the price, they can't be beat. They may not last longer than an atty, but at under $2 a piece, it's no big deal if it doesn't. I even tried using my ego-t recently, and discovered I was vaping my liquid at a MUCH faster rate than I would with a boge carto. Yeah, the flavor was better. It wasn't as loud. Cause a boge is like a drag car sitting next to a smart car (everything else). But for how much less juice it takes, and the cost of replacing them, I'd rather use the boges.

Yeah, that may be one cause, or at least a valid avenue to travel in your quest. Another thought is that some flavors burn faster than others... for example, I have some lime flavor (clear) that burns real easily. Doesn't gunk the atty, but gets burnt taste easy. Other flavors on same setup don't. And this is DIY stuff.. so I know the only difference is the flavoring used.

Also, PG/VG content can affect wicking. So thinning the juice often helps. You could try a couple drops of distilled water too (or PG), mixed into the juice. Not too much (and don't ruin a large bottle... use a small test sample).

Just some thoughts. The carto crew will probably comment more on juice viscosity and function in cartos.

Depending on the atty (I use Joye atties) it may vary a bit. Also, for most if not all atties, the wick material doesn't burn... it's the juice on the wick that gets burnt. The wick is supposed to be heat proof.

Anyway, Good luck!

I never liked cartos until I tried Dual Coil cartos. I could send you a couple of them to see if you like them. They are LR - I don't know what your e-cig is but if it is a 3.7V these should rock on it :). PM me your address if you'd like to try them.
And I love your signature "If it ain broke, fix it 'till it is!":p

Atties seem to work well for some and not for others. It's sorta strange. I have and occasionally use boge LR cartos but still prefer the taste of atties. I still have one from my first kit 3 months ago, works fine. Perhaps you've just been unlucky. Maybe with the generosity from forum members you'll find what you like best. And I think running out of something is part of the learning process :) wouldn't sweat the smokes. Likely won't happen to you a second time :)

I've never had any problem with cracking. I used XL clearomizers on a riva with a cone.

I have read many people complaining about cracking problems, but my clearomizers last me a VERY long time....
up until I started filling them with cinnamon liquid.

DONT EVER DO THAT!!!
It causes permanent damage..... My map tank.... my poor map tank and all my clearomizers :/
