So, I smoked about two packs a day (for 15 years) and failed miserably to quit numerous times, mainly due to the fact I actually enjoy smoking. I found out about vaping from a friend, got into it, and didn't have a smoke for a solid month, which is truly an amazing thing. I was going strong...and then ran out of juice. Had to wait a couple of days for some more juice to arrive...and bought some analogs to hold me over. That was a year and half ago. Even though my new juice showed up, I was back smoking, but got by with a pack day. Tried to quit again about 4 month's ago, ordered new juice...but it didn't stick. Yesterday, my five year old said I have to quit in 3 days...and so I will, and here is where i need help from the community here...

I started with a 510, got tired of the batteries and bought an Ego. Got sick of the cartridges, started modding them to get them to auto drip, but quickly just started dripping. A lot has happened in this industry since that time, and when viewing stores where I used to buy from, I don't even now what I'm looking at (lol). Back when I started, users were modifying batteries to get different ohms and just starting to order LR atties. Now there's all kind's of ohms, and stuff I don't even know about. I've been trying to read on the forums here to figure what I'm missing, but I'm having trouble getting caught up. Dripping seemed to be the only way to keep getting consistent, smooth tasting vapor for me, but it was cumbersome as I drive a lot for work, and found it to be a little unsafe. I figured I just start back up with the Ego, order some new atties and juice and have at it, but if I can find anything new/different for me to try this time around, I feel I maybe re-energized, like I was when I first found vaping. Anything you guys-n-gals can enlighten me with would be much appreciated. For instance, do the cartomizers work any better now? I tried them before, but found refilling to be a pain, so after the initial use, they were more trouble then they were worth. Just seems to be a lot of them out there now, with a lot of variation, so I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I assume I will start dripping again, but before I was just using standard 510 atties (1 LR), and I wasn't modifying them at all (Bridge removal?), so if that is my path again, what are the best atties, ohm's, and what not that I should be considering? Like I said, if i can find even just a little something different to try this time around, I will. Just trying to see if I notice a difference with something new will help, and this time I will not falter, I will not fail. I'll be solely vaping by Wednesday morning...so I have to order stuff today :)

Welcome back... Get yourself a VV Mod and you wont fail again... Try a Provari, it will give you that warm strong vape that a smoker requires for satisfaction.. As far as Dripping goes I have been at it for 2 1/2 years and still prefer Genuine Joyes.. No need to debridge your attys.. I have found them to work best with the bridge and wicking material in place... Holds more juice that way..... SR attys for a VV mod and LR attys for 3.7 volt vaping.... When you drip put on 3 drops when your atty taste like its getting dry... Make sure to BLOW your attys clear several times a day, this will help keep them clean and working at peak performance... After about 3-4 weeks, they may work but have lost their taste... Thats when its time to replace them... Tanks? For me not necessary as dripping has become second nature, Dripping will give best taste and performance levels......

If you are after hassle-free with reasonable capacity, try the Vision Stardust cartomizers for your Ego. I've used them for the last couple of months almost exclusively since discovering them. Just make sure you have several (or more) eGo batteries, so one will always be charged. The Stardusts are about $5 each but should last for several weeks. This link shows them in an Aussie store but US vendors should have them.

Other thing to be careful of is that after a couple of months of Vaping you may find you are dosing high on Nicotine but still think that something is missing. People are told its Nicotine they are addicted to but there are other minor components of the tobacco which are involved too. If that is the case and you risk going back to analogs, invest in some Sweedish Snus of WTA e-liquids to have a couple of times a day, might keep you from going back to burning stuff.

I just received my E-Power kit this morning, after ordering it from CCV on Friday and it's amazing! I paired it with a 1.7ohm LR Smoke-tech that came with the kit, and the vape and flavor is outstanding! Oh and btw, if you're confused about vv, SR, Lr, etc. Steeljan over on you tube has the best video I've seen explaining it in layman's terms. She even has her toaster with her (you need to see the video to understand, lol). Here's the link:

Low Res, High Volts, 3.7V, 5V, VV? Wtf?!! - YouTube

Welcome back and happy vaping!

Man, you guys are great. I'll look into the VV, but not in the mood to drop $200 on the Provari at the moment. I noticed there is an ego-c with adjustable voltage, so I may check that out. Just ordered a Vision CE2 Cartomizer (for driving...thanks MarVP!) from goodprophets (as local as I can get I believe) as well as some new 510 atties and some juice. I believe I should have grabbed the LR in both, but ordered regular. Should I be using LR's with a standard ego battery? GP already emailed me back in minutes to confirm if I wanted to change? This is just to get me back into it before I take the plunge on the VV, which sounds right up my alley!

If you want to take a plunge into VV without dropping $200, the new version 1.5 Lavatubes are out now. They fixed the issues that some people didn't like about the first ones. They aren't built like a Provari, but they have 90% of the performance for 1/3 the price. You can get a full kit for $75 shipped at crystalclearvaping.com, an outstanding deal for a true VV device. And, unlike the eGo VV, you don't throw it away when the battery wears out.

The new Lavatubes have a 3.2 amp limit vs. the Provari 3.5, a negligible difference. They display the resistance of your carto, hold their voltage as the battery drains and they have an improved switch, endcaps and display. By the time it breaks down on you in a couple years, the Provari will be selling for $125 because of all the competition it's going to be facing.

First, these clearos rock! I can't believe how well they work. The new 510 atties I got will be worthless now, but good for back-up I guess. The seal on them is great, so no leaking, and the hits are fantastic and consistent. This is just what I was looking for, something new to be excited about. Haven't had a wicking problem yet, but probably because I lay down the e-cig, which keeps the wick wet, but I'll have to research the barrel cracking issue (I find that surprising). I got a Vision CE2 from Good Prophets, and as always, customer service was beyond expectation.
I am already on the hunt for a VV though. Only one of my ego's is holding a charge, so rocking just one standard ego is going to be a problem right out the gate. At least I'm one of those cool vaper's again though...feels good to be back :)
