The only down side I have found for myself so far is waiting for my vape pen to charge. I refuse to smoke because I don't want to pick back up that habit. For me just one would turn into 'well... it's only two... three won't hurt... so on, so on...' I guess my question is, what are some budget friendly back ups. Is e-bay to be trusted, because I've seen some good prices for whole kits on there. Thanks so much you guys for any help.

I have 3 backups. I started with Ego style batteries that didn't last an entire day. I got 2 of those. Then a week later I wanted something that could last an entire day so I got a Vision Spinner, then a week later I ended up with a 2,000mah Tesla Sidewinder that lasts almost 2 days.
I carry my Telsa and Vision Spinner with me.

A pack of cigarettes has 20 backups, someone will always have a lighter, forgot your cigarettes you probably have 100's of stores to purchases a new pack even in the middle of the night.

I'm still a newbie also but I realized that having backups with make me successful . Be careful on Ebay, read all the details, I bought a fake Kanger tank and it was awful.

Check out Fasttech in China. Free delivery and best guarantee around. I just purchased an Evod kit for $10.79. They sell a lot of knock offs and original stuff. The only thing- you can't be in a hurry as batteries are shipped through Singapore and usually takes 3 weeks to get to me. You should get backups for your back ups, including chargers.

AHHHH! it is hellish waiting for a battery to charge. There are a number of routes you can go depending on what you want to spend. As mentioned above reputable sellers on Ebay can get you a good price. I personally have not bought anything from ebay. I have though through Amazon and a number of vape websites. I would say how much do you like vaping? I personally progressed really fast from starter kit, to mech, to variable wattage device. If you really enjoy it you can save some cash and step up to a variable wattage device that has batteries you can change. When the batteries die you can just get new batteries. Then you will have your pen as a backup. I still like the vision spinners. My son has one that he likes a lot.

I started with an $8 dollar un-branded evod kit from myfreedom smokes.com. It was a great kit to see if this was something I wanted to pursue. I the got a 1300 mah ego-c twist and that was great. I know have an Mvp2 and love it. I do recommend having back ups to help ensure your success. Even if it is just a cheap kit like the I branded evod. I keep the ego-c and MVP charged and with me at all times.

Good luck!

You can find 1100mah eGo-T Ce4 kits on eBay for under 10 bucks. I think I got one for like 7 dollars shipped and another for 8 back when I first started. The clearos suck but the batteries are not bad considering what they are.

Not sure how heavy a smoker you were/are but they did not cut it for me, Still have one unopened kit. Gave the other batt away to a new vaper as a backup batt for a rig I sold him. I was not off the smokes till I got a VS and a Protank. The battery charging shuffle is the worst part of all this and running out of power IS NOT AN OPTION.
I do replaceable batts now and am happy as a pig in ....... you know.

Thank you guys so much for all of the great advice and ideas. I actually just purchased an Apollo Oracle X starter to try out as a back up, and I plan on getting others. I love vaping. It's way better than smoking any day. I'll check out e-bay and also Amazon. Thanks again, guys. I'll stock up on back ups, then so I'll never have to worry.
