I received 2 packages of soft-tip 510 Cartos last week. I filled one like I always fill these type cartos with the condom method and the taryn spin. I let it sit for 30 minutes or so and then tried it out.

The taste of the liquid wasn't even detectable and all I could taste was some type of harsh chemical and the throat hit burnt like fire!!!

So - I took one from the other box and tried it - same thing!!

I let them sit for 24 hours and tried them again - same terrible taste and killer throat BURN, not hit! OMG! Terrible!

I don't know the "brand" name of these - the site I ordered them from just stated that they were empty 510 cartos. They were black, individually wrapped, and had white plastic removeable caps. I looked inside and noticed a blue thread or wire running down the middle which I had never seen before?

I have never had a bad experience like this with a 510 carto.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Did I get a bad batch?

I have notified the vendor to see if they have had any more complaints.

TIA!
Lisa

I'm sure you've done it but didn't mention it...how is the juice itself?

Not counting LR 510 cartos, there are three makers that I know of. The genuine Joyetech cartos are only available from two suppliers that I know of, and require a syringe or fine tipped pipette for filling. Then there are SLB 510 cartos which have a coil in the bottom of the carto, no wire showing in the middle, and brass threads. There are also Boge 510 cartos which have a wire running down the middle, visible when you take the cap off, and have aluminum threads.

Some prefer the SLBs, some the Boge. But for the slight hassle of filling, I personally find the vape with the Joye cartos superior so far, but I've only used them for three days now.

Few suppliers carry both the SLBs and the Boge cartos, and few identify which they sell. Litecigusa sells both and ids them. Cignot sells the genuine Joye cartos. I'm not sure what some of the other suppliers carry, but quite a few do carry one make or the other.

By your description it looks as if you got the Boge carto's. I have never had luck with those myself and I have tried many times. I find not to have a single issue with the SLB cartos. I would suggest giving them a try.

with my E9 (cartos have wire running down the middle and side) I've never had the issue with all 8 of mine. The only issue I've had is them running out of liquid super fast and tasting burnt.

It sounds to me like they used a harsh chemical to clean the inside before putting in all the guts, either that or they just have really pi** poor cartos. Have you tried giving it a water bath? doing the Taryn spin a few times to get the water out, letting it dry for a lil bit and then filling? to me it sounds like something was left behind in the cartos when made at the factory. IMO.

No but thanks for the suggestion - I'll give this a try!
