I brought a few bottles online of 10ml tobacco 24mg VG and its been ok
As i keep this to one side as my back up it can sit for a while in a dark cupboard, when i got one out the other day it seemed as if it had changed in colour and got darker, the taste had changed as well it just didnt seem right?

Is there a proper way of storing the liquid i was told to keep it at room temp and in the dark?

I contacted the supplier and they informed me that they hadn't changed supplier and they didnt know what was up with it?

Any advice

It came from china by the way?

Well, first off buy quality e liquid that's made in the USA.
That alone makes a huge difference and chances are you will know what's in the bottle. For the most part anyway.
Chinese liquids have a harshness about them in general. Add a bit of vanilla and you may be able to save it.

Also could you explain Steeping for me please??

Steeping is a process of letting your juice sit for a certain amount of time before you use them. Many juices need this time for their flavors to fully develop.

There are different techniques such as cap off for a day ect.

Search steeping in the forum and you'll get lots of information on the subject.

Also as suggested look into getting some other juices. You may be surprised to find out that you actually enjoy non-tobacco flavors equally if not more than tobacco flavors.

Vape On!
