First mech was a chi clone, hated it so much that I used my vtr until I bought my legit ar mod. This is when my sub ohming journey started, loved the ar/patriot combo then the spring broke and I used the spring out of my vamo (which is way to stiff) but I'm still getting getting the hot button. Ive cleaned it multiple times. Then I bought a "high quality" 26650 stingray clone with the magnet button with a 28mm tobh which is also a good quality clone. 3 weeks or so I've been using the stingray and the button is getting to where I can only hit it in a certain spot on the edges or it won't fire. I've taken it apart scotch padded and alcoholed the parts and put it back together and no luck. Blehhhh.

I share your experience with these beasts BUT only my clones....my authentic mods don't have these problems. I don't believe I own one clone that I haven't had to do something to, to get it to work right and still the firing issues like having to hit a certain spot to get it to fire. Perhaps you should look into getting an original. I picked up my big nasty for right at $100 brand new. Never had a problem with it yet.

I started with only clones but when I figured out how much I was spending replacing broken stuff I decided to start getting some originals. Looking at the classifieds on here is good too. Great mods for less.

Do they fit the v1 ar? Does that fix the hot button?

Should work just fine... also you might want to take everything apart and just soak in 91% isopropyl alcohol and rinse thoroughly and then let air dry.. take a tooth brush to ALL threads and make sure everything is clean clean clean

I'm sure I'm going to catch .... for this... But my tobh is running .15, the patriot on the ar is. .26 and the mutation x is at. 44 so it will fire on the dna30 but it doesn't have enough balls to make it hit hard enough. But to watch that video. Does anyone recommend a good legit 26650 with a button that's worth a ....?

.15 is a bit to low... .26 is acceptable and the .44 is fine. I wouldn't build anywhere lower than .25 using a VTC series battery. As for a legit 26650 I have no ideas about 26650

18650 has a ton of great mods... I only have clones but I love my Changeling and my girlfriends old Stingray X (RIP... she dropped it and it jumped threads and stripped it so is unusable). A copper mod is fantastic. The Sir Lancelot clone looks really nice. Honestly and mostly its just what you like and performance. A Copper mod will work better than a stainless 90% of the time.

If a warm vape is your deal why not just get a regulated mod like the sigelei or the ipv and hit your .44 (or other builds) with a ridiculous amount of watts. I mean you can continue to try and hurt yourself at .15 but it doesn't really make sense. There are some safer ways to get a warm vape. A .3 ohm coil on my sigelei at 70 is like licking fire after more than a pull or two.
