Bad Nautilus BVC batches????

Legit scratch and check BVC coils recently ran into a 5 pack that appears to have 3 or more coils that give off a burnt metallic taste. Went through about 20+ coils without a issue until now has anyone else noticed any bad BVC coils?

I ran into several bad heads when I still used BVCs. It happens.

my experience is some need to draw juice in. they will produce acrid smoke for the first few puffs. I just dry burn them all 1/2 second a time for 5 times with a 10 second rest in between dry burns. could try soaking them in juice. I never got a "bad" one but many that needed a bit to straighten out. honestly this is unacceptable but I deal with it. if someone does not know about this and inhales that burnt smoke that could be bad. I learned the hard way. gagged and felt rotten for 15 minutes. I don't take the chance now and dry burn them. I think yours may have been good but needed to be broken in this way unfortunately.

i noticed if i dry burn(i didnt notice that i ran my tank dry lol) that it would taste burnt even if i refilled it so i changed out the coil, happened only once and i didnt retest to see if it would happen again.
fyi i prime first by taking long drags then letting juice sit upright in tank for approx 15min, then take a few draws, after that i screw it on my mvp

I'm using the regular clearomizer BVCs, and I did get some dry burning on the second coil I tried. But... it was a different juice (Bobas Bounty, which is known to be hard to wick). I'd describe it as more of a dry burn taste than metallic, though, and it went away after a while.

I've had 2-3 out of 20 since August. 1 flooded, 2 muted flavor. None had dry hits. These are production line coils. Actually the best I have ever tried. I expect that a small amount will be tossed immediately. That's why I keep a healthy inventory on hand.

I think the only bad one I had came with my Nautilus. Hope my luck holds.

Both the BVC's that came in my 2 mini nautilus's were bad with flooding. I had to burn thru 3 new BVC's to get a good one. I am not sure what it is as I ripped the bad ones apart and one of my good ones once it was time to change the coil, they all looked the same. My only guess is once a new coil is installed, I need a few primer puff's and let it sit a while. BUT I had done the same with the bad coils...

I thought I may have had some bad ones once but in hindsight i think i was just putting the tank together wrong.
Though you would think its a possibility that some can be no good but well you hope its just one or two and not the whole box.
